John 11:25
God wants damaged goods.
You. Yes, you. God wants you. The lonely. The outcast. The addict. The suicidal. The broken. The oppressed. The depressed. The misfit. The scarred (inside and out). The scared. The poor. You.
You don’t have to make yourself out to be something you’re not, because He already knows. He already knows you, down to the last eyelash, scar, birthmark; every sin, every lie, every slip-up; He knows.
“I’m broken.” Yes, He knows that.
“I can’t go a day without drugs (or porn, or cutting myself).” Yes, He knows that. You have scars-He knows that. Look at His nail-pierced hands; let Him show you. Hear Him say, “I endured this for you.”
“I keep running from man to man (or woman to woman) because I’m so alone. I just want to be loved.” He knows that. (You are loved. You don’t have to run to and fro.)
“I tried to kill myself last week.” He knows. (Please don’t take your life away. He died for you, so you may live for Him.) “I did ________________.“ “I am ________________.” “I keep ___________________.”
He knows, He knows, He knows. You don’t have to try to clean yourself up before you come to Him. (You can only clean yourself up so much. The dirt goes further down than you can reach. He can clean you up: Isaiah 1:18.) You don’t have to earn His love: Romans 5:8. No, He won’t leave you or disappoint you like they did: Hebrews 13:5; Philippians 1:6. Yes, He really does love you that much: John 3:16.
“That’s too good to be true.” But it is true, and it is good-just like Him. That’s the good news. What does He want from you? Well, He wants you. He made you, after all. He died for you. He wants to have a relationship with you. He wants you to be with Him (John 14:1-3), forever (Matthew 28:20). He’s that good.
So, please, don’t run anymore. Don’t run from Him. Run to Him. His arms are wide open. You don’t have be alone anymore. You don’t have to feel disappointed and hopeless when those things-those people-fail you, because you have Someone so much greater, someone who will never leave you, never fail you, and will always love you. Yes, He can even make you into something you could never imagine yourself to be: His beautiful, beloved child; an image of His glory.
God wants damaged goods. God wants you.
- b.b. | Read Luke 15:1-24; John 8:1-11; Luke 7:36-50. (Please seek help if you need it. You’re not alone.)
I can’t stop thinking about Elijah sitting underneath the juniper tree & asking God to die. God sent an angel who says, “This journey is too much for you. Rest & eat.” & Elijah does. He wakes up still feeling hopeless, & the angel repeats himself.
It took Elijah longer than he wanted to get better. Sometimes we want to move but we can’t. Sometimes the journey is too much. It is not a sin to understand your limitations. Start there, get stronger, then get up.
Stuck between,
“if you can go days without speaking to me, I know where I stand”
and
“real friends don’t drift apart even if they don’t talk everyday”
I just wanna take care of your heart the way Jesus takes care of mine…
“What I’m saying is: sometimes you have to leave. Sometimes people don’t deserve to have you around.”
— Jess ~“No Parking At The End Times” by Bryan Bliss
HIS REACTIOJ IS AN ACTUAL WORD I LAUGHED SO HARD I CRIED 😂😂😂😂
“I’m scared to die without fulfilling the purpose of my birth; the assignment God gave me to do while I’m here on Earth.”
— There’s too many graveyards filled with too many people like that. I refuse to become one of them.
“It’s unbelievable. You look at someone and you see how they’re so alive and breathing. But then, they’re suddenly gone. And you try to wrap your head around the fact that someone who was just breathing and so alive, is suddenly gone. Just like that. You realize they must’ve meant a lot to someone and they have a family who’s going to mourn. They won’t hear their beautiful laughter or get to touch their soft brown hair ever again. The heartfelt hugs they might’ve given out all the time. And maybe that’s why I wish my eyes could take pictures. Anyone could be gone anytime.”
— I wish my eyes could take pictures. ❤
Titus 1:16 Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

Being a Christian is not just an identifier; it is a lifestyle. God calls us to live a life that reflects who we are in him. We can not live our lives as if it’s our own, doing what we want to living life without convictions, limiting Christianity to being just a label without it having any true meaning. Our lives belong to Christ. Our purpose on Earth is to fulfill who he has called us to be. Our day to day lives, dreams and aspirations should reflect just that. Being a believer in Christ in is not enough, he wants us to participate and be a part of what HE is doing on this Earth, completely committing our lives to him. How can we use God’s name as a title to promote a lifestyle that doesn’t involve him?
