Behind the Scenes

In this particular video I spent two hours doing my makeup and putting on each lip gloss. Once I was done filming I had to download the videos onto my phone and begin the editing process. It usually takes two hours to edit a video and upload it onto my channel, two uninterrupted hours. I have two small children so it usually takes longer. I have to film at night or early in the morning to ensure my children don't make any cameos in my videos.

It will cost you...

There are literally new cosmetic products coming out every week. Unless you have thousands of followers, and companies are sending you their products for free, you are stuck with paying for those products out of pocket. Viewers want information on the latest beauty goods before they spend their money on them. I found myself spending literally hundreds of dollars a week in order to build up my makeup collection into the arsenal it is now.  Below is a list of websites and apps that will save you money on cosmetics. In addition, when you initially subscribe to certain cosmetic websites you will receive a discount on your first purchase. Don’t drive yourself crazy trying to keep up with the latest products. In order to be the best you have to learn from the best. In no particular order I’ve made a list of my favorite beauty bloggers. Combined they have millions of subscribers and thousands of videos. Some are trained makeup artist while others are self-taught. Each one brings a unique perspective to the makeup industry. One of the key components of a great channel is having the latest HOT products. Unless you have 10k+ followers, where companies send you their products for free to share with your following; you're paying out of pocket. How I Got Started

In March 2015 I uploaded my first video onto YouTube. I had no idea what I was doing. Most of the information I gathered about starting a beauty channel came from hours of watching numerous makeup channels; some good and some bad. I was not sure how far I wanted to go with it but I had this unyielding urge to share and learn all I could about makeup. I was told growing up that only insecure women wore makeup. With the exception of eyeshadows and gloss I stayed away from the cosmetics counter. I later realized that makeup was just another way for people to express themselves. Not only was it a form of expression it also added confidence to already confident women. I believe ever woman has the right to look and feel beautiful. The purpose of this page, my Instangram and Youtube channel is to share the little bit of knowledge I've acquired on this beauty journey. I hope you all enjoy and feel free to ask questions. Hopefully this will become a one stop shop on how to get started and tips for those who just need help with the basics!
