On Friday, I went to go see Frozen 2 with a friend.
Absolutely great movie, and the songs, oml the songs. They were absolutely beautiful. “Into the Unknown”, “Lost in the Woods”, “Show Yourself”, etc. are to die for.
I never got super into the first Frozen, but, despite the weird fanbase, the movie itself was actually pretty decent in my eyes. And Frozen 2 straight knocked it out of the water. The visuals were beautiful, the story felt compelling, and the absolute raw emotion was amazing.
Also, shortly before I went to see the movie, I heard of a lot of commotion about Elsa’s sexuality and the fact that she “should be given a girlfriend”. Can I just say that, well, not everything has to be gay? I mean, please, enjoy your ships. By all means, I have gay ships out the wazoo, both show/book characters and my own characters. But the main point I make with that statement also, just because someone is happy the movie didn’t try to force Elsa into a sexuality/gay relationship doesn’t make them a homophobe??? I’ve been browsing the Frozen 2 tag and keep seeing people call others homophobes for not being on board with Elsa being gay.
Like, c’mon guys. <.<
That aside! Once again, I loved the movie. Amazing songs, amazing visuals, I can’t wait for it to come out on DvD so I can see it again.
