I dream of bifurcation
I was a set of twins, and it was our birthday. One was talented and outgoing. And the the other was shy and reserved. For some reason we had to help give tours and entertain guests. Iâm not clear why. The talented twin was great at this. He would dance and sing, and everyone would cheer and applaud. Whenever he tried to include the shy twin, he would try but he just couldnât do it. The cheers would stop. Finally the shy twin gave up and ran up to his room. When the talented twin tried to chase him and console him, he yelled at him and sent him away.Â
I just woke up with this intense feeling of not being good enough.Â

One is a force of complacency made up of Negroes who, as a result of long years of oppression, have been so completely drained of self-respect and a sense of âsomebodynessâ that they have adjusted to segregation, and, on the other hand, of a few Negroes in the middle class who, because of a degree of academic and economic security and because at points they profit by segregation, have unconsciously become insensitive to the problems of the masses.
Martin Luther King, Jr., Letter from Birmingham Jail, August 1963.  Reading this made me very self reflective as a member of the âBlack Middle Class.âÂ
CAN I JUST SAY THAT THIS SHIT MATCHES???
