Dream:

I had quite a few, but only remember a few bits here and there. I think there was something where I was at school as well.

In the first one, I was some evil supervillain guy on a space ship. I also had an evil henchman who wore purple clothes and had an eye patch. Our space ship was going to self destruct. I think some good guys had sabotaged it or something. It falls to Earth, and I die in the process. However, my henchman gives up his life to revive me. I awake in some badlands like back home and cry because he is dead. Earth had gone through some sort of cataclysm, so there weren't many people left. After walking a bit, I meet a hippie man. Behind him are about two dozen men and women also dressed like hippies sitting on rocks. I think they were supposed to be his husbands and wives. The dream shifts, and I find myself home with my Mom. I am watching some sort of action flick on the TV. It was mostly women. They are invading a compound. At some point, a giant talking gun appears. But, it also looked a bit like a stapler. It was so clearly some sort of costume and even had large, fake eyes. It talked goofy as well. Arnold Schwarzenegger appears for a cameo and flicks the gun thing right in between the eyes. It clutched its face and kept saying stuff. The women invading the compound meet some of the guards, and they get into a fight. Instead of shooting each other, they spray each other with canisters of whipped cream. I am afraid my Mom would think I was watching something nasty.

In the second one, I was in a road as part of some sort of parade or concert or something. Trump had something to do with it. He planned it? I think it was to advertise his third term? Some police man or security talked to me. There are other details I am forgetting.

In the third dream, I was also back home. Mom was going to take my brothers to school, but I wasn't going. I started looking on the TV for something to watch. I was looking through YouTube. They return because they forgot something.

Analysis:

No clue on the first one except maybe a bit of the Ghost in the Shell episode? For the second, I think it is based on the street dance back home.

god i hate minor social stress nightmares. last night i had a nightmare someone from out of town wanted me to drive her to a restaurant and then she got mad at me because it was taking too long and like. come on. some people dream prostate orgasms. can we try that instead.

Last night I dreamt that there was this new thing called a "make ticket". Make tickets were keepsake/collectible items about the size of a library card, and each one was handmade by an artist with the materials they used while making a fully realized piece.

Artists would repurpose what got discarded naturally during the creative process, or finish off any excess left over after they were done—sections of notes and first drafts, clay off-cuts fashioned into small rectangular slabs, oddly shaped fabric scraps seamed together, extra paint on a little piece of canvas.

Many were turned into miniature collages in order to reach the dimensions that people had come to expect from make tickets, or to showcase component materials that might not be visible in the completed work. It was all very zero-waste and behind-the-scenes-y and so incredibly fun.

I was given one from a painting, which looked like this:

" Price of win "

Imagine you're going to school where your family graduated, and you kinda know what can happen there, and this includes very anti-introvert space, but you think you can work with that.

Your grandparents left you and your Mom before enormous wooden doors and you noticed a very thick fog around grey walls. But you already came here, so you couldn't really escape now, despite your instincts telling you to run from here.

Your Mom was really excited to show you her favourite thing from school time -- The Playground.

She walked there full of confidence and joy, while you were on high alert all the time.

There was a game. It looked like the word "sport" fused with everything it means. Players were in costumes for American football, throwing baseball ball alongside a hockey match going right in the middle and truck runners doing crazy laps (or just running however they wanted, but in repetitive shapes?) and something you weren't sure how to call it.

Coach saw you. He immediately made you join a game you didn't know how to play, but you were "the best player" and you were now obligated to play all the time.

Your Mom was sooo proud of you! You weren't happy about your situation, but you swallowed your annoyance and took your stuff to your dorm made from dark wood, just like most things here.

There wasn't too much to do, so the day of "The Game" came really fast. Too fast. It was basically the next day, and this raised your suspicions. This place was somehow sick, but you couldn't figure out why.

You came to the game. For some reason, sun rays showed up through fog, that was like walls around the court. The Playground looked almost friendly, just like everyone else. This felt like a trap, but social pressure (and gaslighting) were really effective and you started playing.

You won!

Everyone started congratulating you, smiling, welcoming you and all the sports team hugged you really tight. People in the stands started applauding. Everything was trying to make you feel special and safe.

But it failed.

You were still anxious and suspicious and didn't believe in the propaganda of teachers, students and safety of this place. It was S I C K . And you started to think it was a hive mind.

The next day your Mom woke you up. When you opened you eyes you saw her grin.

Bullet pierced your right knee and landed in your mouth.

She was standing there with a gun in her hand, looking like a psycho. Looking like everyone in this building. Except you.

- WHAT THE FU-

- That's a tradition here! A win costs a leg! Great school, right kiddo?!

You took the bullet from your mouth. It was cylinder shaped. Your knee hurts, your leg is devastated, but the biggest pain here is in your heart. You knew you should run away. Now you can't run anywhere.

Your Mom left you still laughing. She probably thought it was an amazing tradition. You wonder if it's from jealousy in some way. Or punishment for staying true to yourself.

You teleported to the room where your family was gathering for all celebrations. Most of your family was here - grandparents, parents, cousins, uncles and aunts.

- this school is sick. This tradition hurt me. I'm basically disabled. I'm quitting.

Everyone looked at you like a mad man. Some smirked, grinned or simply ignored you when you opened your mouth.

You came to everyone to properly shake hands as goodbye. You wondered why there was a Michael Jackson family member who looked as confused and unwilling to stay here as you, but eh. You have a big family, so it wasn't that surprising.

You tried to have justice. You tried to change this school for some time. But you were still treated like a joke. You gave up.

You left from there with a broken leg, heart and a lot of scars. And then you woke up.

i’ve been having horrible nightmares the last few nights like there was one that this guy was trying to break into my house to kill me with a shovel and then the cops came and shot him dead in front of me and cooked and ate his body and then there was the one where i left my cat locked in my car in the heat and i couldn’t get back to the car to check on him and see if he was alright which was honestly worse… but at least my coworker thought it was funny that i dreamt i had a baby but i was feeding him shrimp out of a pipette like we do for the fish at work and said “the weird work stress dreams have begun”

Maybe I should talk more openly about music? Would be easier to have a band masterpost to link to instead of having to explain at least some of the relevant context now, but only vaguely enough:

So, there's this musician I don't really like much, except he's married to a musician I love, which is enough of a reason to tolerate his existence in most of her songs. Except, in my last dream he wrote and recorded a solo song, and surprisingly enough it wasn't even a ballad! It was about highwaymen though, and had some fairy elements too, so not that far removed from reality.

Where we crossed the reality lines was: me standing under his window and somehow knowing all the costumes used in the music video are in this very room. Doesn't seem like I did anything much with this knowledge (other than a hopeless attempt at stealing his wife, because of course I would). I don't even know how I got from watching a music video on a smallish screen to staring into somebody's windows. Not even sure what my subconscious meant by that.

All I know is: I woke up wanting to reach out and tell them to record that song.

had an unreal nightmare whhere my tongue got cut off and mom refused to take me to the hospital right away becayse she had other things to do, like Shopping and Ordering Food and Chasing An Uber Driver, anx i was trying to keep the tongue warm to improve reattachment chances cuz apparently thats 5he dream logic and yet it kept getting colder and i was like begging mom to let me go to a damn hospitsl cuz i didnt want to lose it and she said, essentially, "tough tooties" sbout it

also for some reason one of my walmart coaches was there??
