It’s gotten to the point where even my parents are telling me to just make the payments for school, and focus on nothing else. They’re even to the point where they’re considering letting me take a full on gap year

Stuff about muscles and stuff
Because I am weirdly knowledgeable in this area, I have decided to make a post, because I don’t think a lot of people know how this stuff works. It’s organized in no particular way.
First and foremost, size ≠ strength and definition ≠ strength. Best way for people to understand this is by looking up body builders versus professional weight lifters. The body builder will likely have the bigger, more bulging, more defined muscles, but the weight lifter is going to be stronger. Now, while I cannot tell you what the difference in their work outs are, I can tell you that they have a big difference in what they drink and eat. The weight lifter is going to have closer to what is considered a normal diet. A well rounded diet makes the body healthier, and thus stronger. You need every kind of nutrients to be that strong, not just protein. The body builder is going to have the stricter, and more ridiculous diet, focusing heavily on protein. Protein is a very important thing for muscle development, but there is a point where it will only affect size.
Muscles are hard. If you see a very lean and well defined dude, his body is going to be hard to the touch, even if he’s not flexing. Muscles to squish at the touch like fat does. A butt that is mostly muscle is not going to behave in the same way as a butt that is mostly fat. Pectorals are not going to act like breasts unless they have breasts on top of them.
My final point for now focuses on swimmers and water polo players. People who play these sports are usually not going to have super, super well defined muscles, no matter how hard they work out. People who play these sports develop a larger layer of what is called brown fat that other people, and it’s a lot harder to get rid of than normal fat as it serves a completely different purpose. Normal fat works mostly as a way of storage, brown fat’s function is to keep the body warm, like blubber.
I think it comes from having a high approval with Varric, but the scene where you’re just playing cards with everyone made me cry so much??? I don’t know why, but I absolutely adored it
