Me: She could get it.
It: A relationship built on trust, mutual respect, and love.
Imaginary evil is romantic and varied; real evil is gloomy, monotonous, barren, boring. Imaginary good is boring; real good is always new, marvellous, intoxicating.
Simone Weil (via observando)
Reading books on a rainy Saturday morning. Tangled legs with black knee socks. The smell of fresh coffee and tea. Kisses being shared as we cuddle in white bed sheets.
Why is it cool to be mean? Why is it cool to not care about people’s feelings? Why is it cool to be emotionless? Why do we compete to see who cares less? Why is dehumanizing ourselves a trend?

Concept: I finish school. The job I work isn’t my dream job but I enjoy doing it greatly still. It pays enough to cover everything I might need. My bills are never overdue. Money is not a thought in my head. I have a place to live. So do my dogs. It is nice and warm, I have some plants, my bookshelves are full, my sheets are always clean. There is time to read at the end of a day. I read a lot. Thinking is a good thing. I meet up with friends regularly, old and new. They love me. We make memories. I have nothing to be ashamed of. I travel a few times a year, always different places. The places I see steal my breath away. The people I meet teach me of life. They are good. There is no war. The sea calls to me and pay visit. I am independent. I am content.
Romanticize life. Talk to people about the serenity of how the clouds move across the sky. Write a sonnet to the way the cherry blossoms twirl in the breeze at your feet. Tell the story of the birds nesting in the eaves. Create a metaphor for the growth of that plant outside your front door. Ascribe it all meaning. Harsh realities abound; Extol the magic of life.

Beautiful Night (by Jari Johnsson)
You radiate nothing but light. If you are the sun, I am the moon, and I only hope to reflect back a tiny fraction of your glow.

Recognizing that you can do better is a blessing in itself. I know it’s a cliche, but why wait until tomorrow. The fact that you’re self aware is a huge accomplishment on its own and proof enough that you’re strong enough today.
Not everything happens for a reason. Some things happen purely because evil exists in the world. That did not happen to you because you deserved it. It didn’t happen to you because you needed to learn a lesson. There are lessons you can learn without experiencing pain.
Origin (by Tomer Yaffe)
You can be proud of your identity, you can be true to yourself and you can be honest while still picking and choosing who you come out to. You are not self-hating or “living a lie” if you choose safety or comfort first. Anyone who tries to claim otherwise does not understand how terrifying coming out to people who can easily hurt you is. Coming out to everyone is not a requirement for your identity or your pride.
Does anyone else forget how to function when they see another lesbian in the wild?
