So… Shopping can cost a lot of $$$ and if you don’t have a Black Card or a Sugar Daddy to buy you everything your little heart desires, then like me you must get creative.

Like I said in my last post, sometimes it’s worth the extra few bucks to look amazing and know you aren’t wearing something mass produced in China using cheap textiles. BUT since we aren’t all rich here we can’t wear only the best which brings me to the wonderful world of RESALE!!!! Your secret entry into gaining that designer wardrobe you’ve always wanted without maxing out every credit credit card you own.

Anyone ever heard of Buffalo Exchange? One if the first most successful Buy Sell Trade companies that caters to all variations of fashionistas from the vintage lover (like me) to the hard hitting punks looking for band tees and everyone in between. People come in with bags of sometimes useless and unwanted clothes for Buffalo’s lovely employees to sort through looking for those little clothing gems. Best part? They pay the seller out 35% cash of what they price their items for or 50% in store credit to use! Win win for everyone I’d say.

Here are some inside tips coming from someone who used to work for them (aka me) and someone who shops obsessively (aka me). When shopping at resale or thrift shops the best way to find those amazing pieces are by eyes fabric and color. Don’t waste your time trying to flip through every piece because most likely you will make it through one rack and give up. Being savvy and knowing what your are looking for makes it a whole lot easier to pick out those heart stopping pieces. Be a brand whore! Look for the brands you love at resale shops because more then likely you’ll find it! From Free People to One Teaspoon JBrand Anthropologie Haute Hippie to American Apperal, with a little shopping smarts you’ll be rocking outfits you never thought you could find!
