“Yeah…sorry about that…Amita wanted me to do some extensive training. Something about me being in charge of an outpost.”
He puts his hands in his pocket and kicks at a rock. “To be honest…I don’t like the idea. Being in charge of people who have been in this war longer than I have. I’ve only been here for two years. Serving as Pagan’s bodyguard. And now…after turning my back on him….I’m wanted as a leader? That…it just doesn’t make sense to me.”
He let out a sigh as he cast his gaze to the side. Why would Amita or Sabal for that matter want a white boy like him in charge of something?
That prompts confusion from him. Why would Amita want anything? The only thing SHE wanted was to turn this entire kingdom into a drug state. Something about bringing in more money so the Kyrati people could stand financially. But what of the agriculture? What of the animals? What of the PEOPLE?
It’d just cause more trouble.
He was getting off track here with his thought process.
W “Ah. You are speaking of the Golden Path here.” A sigh. “I don’t affiliate with them at all...but I feel like Amita is seeing that you are useful to her in gaining what she wants. There’s a split in the Golden Path that ends with war on both sides. The tiger or the elephant. Confusing.”

She escapes up the mountainside; blood coats her side, sticks her shirt to her skin, and Jane wonders if the fighting’s ever gonna stop. If she’s ever gonna see home again. She has this thought often in the middle of this warzone, but she doesn’t let it give her pause; she slinks through the foliage until she comes upon a campsite.
Someone’s sitting there. Doesn’t look to be one of Pagan’s, but she can never be sure. The pain cuts through her thoughts, and she hisses out slow through her teeth and decides either way she’s gonna die: by the bullet of an enemy or by blood loss. It’s worth it to try, if the stranger is friendly.
She stands and lets her boots crunch the underbrush noisily. When she comes into view, one hand is raised, empty; the other clutches the wound. “Don’t shoot,” she says, and she sounds winded. “Ain’t here… to cause trouble. Just need some help.”

There had been plenty of noises coming from down the mountainside all day. Ajmal had heard it and Aadesh, his peregrine falcon, had been flying loops in the sky warning him of the trouble lurking below. Even Kumar was on edge, ears lowered and growl kicking up in his chest lowly at the possibility that someone could come wandering up.
And it was JUST his luck that someone would.
Ajmal was on the alert immediately, bristling to the point that he himself could attack in the few seconds of silence that was shared between the two of them. But he managed to get a good LOOK at her. The woman was wounded and bleeding in multiple places, staining her clothes and skin red with the blood she spilled. From suspicious to worried in a second flat, Ajmal drops his bow to grab for his pack instead.
“Kumar, down.” He demands the wolfdog to lay down, moving closer to help support her and lead the woman closer to where he had his temporary setup. “Take a seat. I have some things that will help you.” When she was properly seated, Ajmal crouched beside her, tearing open his backpack to root around for the medpack he kept in there.
“They didn’t follow you, right?”
The Good Boy
♛ ¦ @goldenpathkyrati liked the SC. ( – accpeting! )
♛ – The most beautiful things in KYRAT were its nature and every creature living in it. Except for some of the people, at least that was what Ajay thought. Now that he had decided to live in this country, he needed to learn about the way of surviving in a hopeless and lost place like this. He wasn’t fond of the WILDLIFE, constantly getting chased by fierce animals and facing the consequences of exploring a tiger’s den. Ajay didn’t know a lot about the beasts that were inhabiting the landscapes, nor how to act around them. They weren’t like animals in the zoo or in a forest. Most of them had to suffer A LOT, being drugged by humans and so on. That was why they were far more DANGEROUS. But good for Ajay, he knew a guy who got along with them very well.
Ajmal and Ajay were hiding behind a boulder to watch … – a HIMALAYAN BEAR. Ajmal was fascinated by them and knew how to gain their trust. Ajay was definitely feeling more comfortable keeping the distance without the beast knowing he was there.
❛ Nah-ah! No chance I’m gonna get closer. Look, this bear is HUMONGOUS. Pretty sure it’s gonna eat me. ❜
Much unlike Ajay, Ajmal was more interested in getting CLOSER to the bear. In these frigid conditions up in the mountains, the kyrati archer always found himself AMAZED at how well these beautiful creatures were able to live up here. The conditions were less than friendly, but they neandered around like it meant little to NOTHING to them. But goodness, there was something about them that attracted Ajmal to them likea moth with light.
“Please.” Ajmal breathes, hands reaching for his backpack to withdraw a bag of meat. “The first step when calming them down is to feed them. Give them enough and they’ll be too full to even think of trying to eat you.” Not that the bears DID eat people. A ridiculous thought Ajay. “They’re more partial to MAULING humans than actually eating them.” His other hand hauls himself up on top of the rock, tossing a slab of deer onto the ground a few feet away.
He caught the bear’s attention.
Rounded ears shifted into his direction, teeth baring back but lumbering towards the offered food INSTEAD of Ajmal. The bear sniffed at the slab for a few seconds, before it took the time to eat the offered food. “They probably think you wouldn’t have enough meat on you anyways.” Ajmal offers a smile at him, tossing another slab out for the bear. It immediately went for it, pleased to have SOMEONE ELSE do the hunting for him.
ajmal’s far cry 5 verse is....mostly the same as his main verse:
his life in kyrat dramatically changes depending on who ajay chose in the finale. if it was sabal, his home is compromised, putting his cousin in so much risk that the best option is to leave. if it was amita, the animals of kyrat become more violent and crazed due to them ingesting the opium plants that are planted. this makes them rarely calm and renders ajmal unable to gain any trust in them whatsoever. both of these end with ajmal packing up himself, his cousin, and his two pets, and leaving kyrat all together.
and, sure enough, they settle in hope county. the landscape reminded him of back in kyrat, but they move BEFORE the deptuy and co do their thing and kick off the end of the world. this makes them active, but not incredibly so. ajmal and milica settle up in the whitetail mountains because the dense trees and looming mountains help keep them and their chosen abode safe. and, well, ajmal is just a hermit once again here as he was in kyrat. rarely does he leave the forest or mountains to traverse down into the valley or hebane river, but he DOES know some of the people there.
he knows not to trust the cultists but it doesn’t quite make him WANT to stop them up until the deputy shows up. he’s just here to pet animals, raise his cousin, and hunt. still, ajmal retains his sass and friendliness, so not much even changes.

NAME OF YOUR MUSE.
Ajmal Bala
ONE PICTURE YOU LIKE OF YOUR MUSE’S FC.
this is one of my favorites
TWO HEADCANONS YOU HAVE FOR YOUR MUSE THAT YOU NEVER TOLD ANYONE
while not so talented at it himself, ajmal makes his own thangka paintings to honor his grandmother, whom had raised him since birth. otherwise, his home is also quite filled with commandeered sketchbooks filled with drawings of animals he’s done.
this is a headcanon more about his grandmother than ajmal. his parents were extreme radicals about kyrat’s religion to the point his grandmother thought ajmal was in danger should he stay with the two of them. she eventually hinted to de pleur that they, his parents, were apart of the golden path...which ended in their deaths. on her deathbed, his grandmother confided to ajmal that it was her fault that her daughter and son-in-law were dead. he didn’t blame her.
THREE THINGS THAT YOUR MUSE LOVES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME.
practicing his archery
petting and befriending the dangerous and skittish animals of kyrat
he tends to draw wildlife from a distance. he’s a lot better at it than doing thangka paintings.
FOUR PEOPLE THAT YOUR MUSE LOVES/ADMIRES: (LOVE here being a loose term and verse dependent for some. In no order. )
he really looks up to ajay, despite not APPEARING to do it. ajmal tries very hard to not let his admiration of ajay show, because he doesn’t want to be classed in with the rest of the kyrati population. ajay is his friend. probably his only friend. and he definitely doesn’t want to lose him.
his cousin, milica. despite being only six, the little girl has shown great prowess as a huntress in training. since he took her from her abusive home in the north, ajmal has been doing his best to give her the life she deserves. ajmal is very proud of her.
THREE FOND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES:
the first time he learned to shoot a bow AND hit the target. ajmal has never seen his grandmother so happy and so proud of him. it made him strive to do better, to shoot better, and to be the best damn hunter he could be.
getting namit. ajmal got his first wolfdog when he was around ten. kumar was his second only after namit passed. namit, however, was kumar’s father, so it was pretty easy for him to get his new pet.
nursing a family of bharal back to health. a long time ago, he’d stumbled upon a few bharal that had suffered serious wounds from a hunting parting. he was patient to gain their trust and they allowed him to help. releasing them back into the wild was very satisfying to the little boy.
TWO THINGS YOUR MUSE REGRETS.
being unable to spot his grandmother’s sickness earlier.
in a way, he feels like he’s turning his back on his religion and everything the people of kyrat stand for. he does follow a lot of the traditions, but not all of them.
ONE THINGS THEY’D GO THROUGH HEAVEN OR HELL TO SAVE/CHANGE.
ajmal went through the dangers of northern kyrat, slipping past the border and all golden path guards to kidnap his little cousin from his aunt and uncle’s abuse. he’d do anything for milica.

since i have far cry 5 now and have played a few hours of it (mostly just fucking around tbh) now i can put effort into making a fc5 verse for my son here.
♛ – AJMAL
“You would be surprised at what I have pet in my time here.” How far away were they from Ajay’s home again? This almost seemed to drag on, as if they were walking in circles now. It wasn’t bad, far from it actually. But wouldn’t they at least be CLOSE to there yet? Ajmal recalled a tall, cliff it sat upon with grapple hooks set up the side. That would be pretty hard to miss. “There is a Sky Tiger den off near the Barnali’s Textiles shop here in Southern Kyrat. One wrong move and I would have had my throat torn out.”
And still, despite the dark end Ajmal could have met, his tone remained chipper.
“Though, it is not JUST limited to dangerous animals.” He noted with amusement. “Bears are dangerous, yes, but the best way to gain their trust is fish.” Just not the Demon Fish. They didn’t like those ones. “I am pretty sure America bears don’t grow NEARLY as big as Kyrati bears.”
♛ – Right. What a question. And of course Ajmal would know about the infamous SKY TIGER’s den. Ajay did hear some rumors about its existence and people trying to get this beautiful and shining white fur. But even without seeing it himself, he heard that it was DANGEROUS. Far more dangerous than the tigers who were usually running around here.
Ajay lead both of them to a path that was taking them away from the roads. A SHORTCUT to the homestead he found a while ago. It was way faster than the usual way. He didn’t feel like explaining it, though. Ajmal would hopefully just follow him.
❛ True, they don’t. Americans also have… –DIFFERENT ways to gain an animal’s trust. Certainly not ALL of them. But well, a lot of them. ❜
He didn’t feel the need to explain that some people in the western civilization liked to use force instead of patience when it came to animals. NOT A GOOD TOPIC. As they walked on the path, Ajay pointed at the mountains ahead of them. The homestead wasn’t too far away now and almost clearly to see.
❛ We can get up there. Hope your climbing skills are as good as your way with animals. ❜
Ajmal’s climbing skills were probably better than Ajay’s. It wasn’t like he was bad at it, no. Thanks to his times in the army he got some proper skills he could use in his everyday life in KYRAT. But still, he didn’t like it that much. After all, it was a risky thing to do.
“There’s actually MULTIPLE of them now. Two fuzzy white babies were born recently.” Recently, being a few months ago. Soft, furry little things that were finally growing into their paws. And their TEETH. Ajmal didn’t seem all that nervous when Ajay veered off the road, leading them down a pathway he hadn’t gone before. Well....Ajmal didn’t actually come this way a lot. he didn’t have of a much a reason to.
And Ajay stops.
Ajmal’s eyes roll up the side of the cliff-face, staring at the numerous grappling points that had been strung up there. The climb itself looked perilous, but....Ajmal had been through worse unfortunately. “You’d be....surprised...” Still, didn’t mean Ajmal LIKED it. Using his own grappling hook was fun at times, but climbing up the sides of cliffs were always dangerous and death-defining. HIs hand reaches for his backpack, tugging the item out in question.
"I suppose we can continue our talk up there, yes?”

Cont. from [here]
“Just about as well as I can be here in Kyrat.” Ajmal’s shoulder shrug slowly, grin remaining soft and kind. The frigid air didn’t seem to bother him in the slightest. Although, having LIVED here the majority of his life was a good indicator that the archer was simply used to it. “Animals hanging around, pet some dangerous animals....about as normal as I can be.”
The real question was how Shawn was doing.
Ajmal hadn’t seen him in quite some time, which had drawn some confusion from him. The guy seemed to vanish and reappear whenever he deemed it fit to his occupation. But Ajmal was nice. He didn’t need to pry into his personal life to find out what he was doing. Let him explain it to him in his own time.
“What about you? Haven’t seen you for...a good amount of time.”
