I've been gone for a while. I apologize, but I've been busy with studies. Anyways...
SAWuWa is a thing. We all know it, and I've gone even more crazy after that video where we see Camellya breaking the 4th wall. Honesty, I first thought it was content in the game, and I was like: "NO F*CKING WAY. DID SHE JUST..?" But in the end, it was just a promotional video the devs uploaded before her banner release. But, it is undeniable that she fed us all Self Aware Au Lovers.
"Hmm? So, I can't touch you. Ah... You're not on this side..." *chuckles* "Whatever. Our fates have long been intertwined, a thin barrier means nothing. My beloved Seed of Fate. My only opponent. We'll meet again soon."

❝Run, baby run. Run for your life, Imma tear out your heart, it'll always be mine.❞
I knew it very well that she had always been waiting for me. That she called my name a long time ago but... I was really lazy at the time and preferred to sleep instead. I thought she would keep calling for me, but I stopped to hear her voice, and her presence vanished for a long time.
When she returned, I initially thought that she was going to keep waiting for me because the first time I met them, the trailblazer. I heard how much she was excited to see me, every time she would say a lot of compliments to me and yet... her voice ended up calling to someone else's name.
Unlike me, the Knight of the Beauty answered her calling pretty quickly, and she seemed very happy for it. Outside of her presence, I asked the trailblazer if she was ever going to call me again. However...
"I'm not sure. She was mad at you because she wanted you to answer quickly, but... you didn't."
She was mad at me...
A long time later, I started to hear her voice calling for me once more. Alongside that, I also heard her saying...
"Jing Yuan. This time, you are not going to get away from me. You will be mine pretty soon."
Then she said or more like, she sang...
"Run baby, run. Run for your life, Imma tear out your heart. It'll always be mine. Run, baby, run, run for your life. Gonna tear out your heart. It'll always be mine."

In the end, she was right. I should have run faster... because she caught me and my heart.
A/N: Oh my god, I can't still believe that I managed to get him after so long 😭. I had to change the creator's color from yellow to purple because Tumblr doesn't let me use yellow anymore.

When the first signs of light from the sun presented, I couldn't sleep anymore, so I didn't have any other choice than to wake up. I opened my eyes and sat up, glancing at my surroundings, I sighed upon realizing that what had happened all this time was real and not a dream. Oh, how I wished it was a dream... I got up from the ground and walked towards the edge of the floor, gazing up at the sky. The gentle breeze of Mondstadt greeted me, and I smiled before stretching out a little bit.
Only a minute later, my stomach rumbled with hunger, so I decided to try my luck in trying to get food from any hilichurl camp nearby. I used a wind current to lift me up, then I placed my feet over the air and started to walk down towards the ground and I wondered if the people of the city were to see me walking in the air, what would they think? Was the imposter able to do something like that as well? My stomach rumbled again, it seems that I needed to leave the thinking for later and eat first.
After reaching the ground, I started to walk around in search of any sign of a hilichurl camp. It took me a while to finally find one, so when I did, I slowly walked towards the camp. As I wasn't sure if they would attack me, I kept getting close little by little. Once the first one noticed me, I stopped and stayed still waiting to see what kind of reaction it would have. They slowly approached me and then danced? They danced happily, ran back to the camp, and brought me a plate full of sunsettias and apples just to offer them to me.
I took the plate and said thank you, I took a seat over the grass before starting to eat an apple. I was really surprised because it tasted the same as the apples from Earth, so then I decided to try one of the sunsettias, and to my surprise, it also tasted really familiar. Sunsettias watery texture and sweet flavor were like the ones from the Malay rose apples, I really couldn't help but feel curious about the fact that both fruits tasted so similar to the ones from Earth. Once my stomach was satisfied I decided to walk around, I mean even though I already know this landscape from memory its different now that I'm actually walking and not only seeing everything behind the screen of my computer.
While I was taking my stroll, I bumped into some slimes here and there that didn't attacked me like when I played the game, they actually were pretty friendly and looked so bouncy that I couldn't help but touch some of them. Of course there were some exceptions like the pyro slimes and cryo slimes, mainly because if I were to touch them I would probably burn my hands with heat or cold depending on which one of them I touched. To be more safe I decided to poke the surface of an anemo slime and saw how it bounced under my touch, it was actually really funny to do so I did it a couple of times before I heard the roar of a beast... well, more than a beast, it was actually a dragon, but not any dragon. It was Dvalin.
I saw with a flabbergasted expression how he descended from the sky, until he reached the ground and compared to me he was so huge. Honestly I always liked stories about dragons so meeting one in person was like my dream come true, I stood there unable to move closer for I didn't know if he would feel uncomfortable if I moved closer so I maintained a certain distance between each other. Though it wasn't long before the dragon himself decided to speak to me.
"It's been a long time, Your Grace. I'm really happy to see that you are finally back with us."
He said. And actually, that made a question arise for me.
"Dvalin, do elemental and ancient species can easily recognize me?"
I asked and heard him chuckle. Dragons... laugh?
"Of course, Your Grace. The only ones foolish enough to not recognize you are the humans, as Barbatos has told me."
He said before sighing.
"They even go to the lengths of disrespecting you by treating you as an imposter, humans truly are foolish. Your Grace should punish them for such heresy."
I cleared my throat.
"There's no need for that. I wouldn't like to make innocent people suffer all in the name of a religion, something like that it's nothing but nonsense."
He seemed surprised by what I said.
"Do you consider the concept of religion a bunch of nonsense? It's seems that in your time away from Teyvat, you changed a little bit."
Dvalin said with certain amusement.
"Well, it seems I did. Though I think it would be better for me to explain to you my reasons to do so, everything started back on the world I was before returning here."
I said and immediately started to speak about why I hated the concept of religion, mentioning the stupid and horrible acts people would do all in the name of their god. The first example being "The Inquisition", a horrible era of slaughter back on Earth were people were killed for simple things as being knowledgeable or not believing in the same god and everything justified under the flag of "This is God's will". It made me feel sick that the people here were practically the same as the humans from Earth, that they could easily go to the point of committing genocide everything in the name of a god... the power religion holds over humanity surely is scary.
"Humans truly are nothing but fools."
He said after I finished telling him my reasons. I nodded in agreement.
"Indeed, but let's end the topic here." I said, and just right after that, I saw Venti coming alongside with Diluc towards us. Though it would be more appropriate to say that he was practically running towards me and I had to hold back a laugh. "It seems that we have visitors."
Upon saying that, Dvalin tilted his head around and watched how his friend and a human were coming towards us. After reaching us, Venti immediately jumped on top of me like a dog that was happy to see their owner again, and of course, we both fell against the grass.
"Your Grace! I'm back! You missed me, right? Right?"
Venti asked excitedly.
"Yes, I missed you, but next time, don't jump over me like that. A simple hug should be enough."
I said before getting up from the ground and helping him get up as well. Diluc finally reached us, he seemed to be a little anxious and was glancing at me like he couldn't still believe I was there, all right time to pretend that I didn't overheard their conversation last night. I hid behind Venti even though I was slightly taller than him.
"Venti care to explain why didn't you came alone? Do you understand who the man that came with you is?"
I asked, feigning fear. He turned around to face me.
"It's okay, Your Grace, Diluc is not here to hurt you. Actually, he needs to talk to you about something, so would you be willing to listen to him?"
He asked. Of course, I knew what he was going to speak to me about, but I had to pretend that I didn't know.
"Speak to me about something? Well, I'm not sure what it could be, but if you can truly give me your word that he's not here to hurt me... then I shall grant him the conversation he seeks."
At my answer, Venti smiled and walked towards Diluc. After whispering something to him, they both came back to where I was. Upon a closer look, Diluc was really good looking, actually none of the appearances of the characters I've met so far are anything like in the game... It's like I had in front of me the most handsome and incredibly skilled cosplayer ever, so if you ask me... yes, I feel really nervous right now. Almost immediately, he kneeled down on one knee.
"It's truly an honor to be in the presence of our creator, I apologize for the rough behavior the Knights of Favonius have displayed towards you, Your Grace. My name is Diluc Ragnvindr."
For a moment, I hesitated on what to do next, so all I could think about in doing was to place my hand over his head and give him a soft pat. He flinched at my action and immediately glanced up at me flustered and flabbergasted. To reassure him, I decided to smile warmly at him.
"I already know your name. You don't have to apologize for the doings of the knights, I know they are confused right now, and they actually aren't intending on truly hurting me out of pure will."
I said, and I pulled my hand away from his head since I thought that keeping it there for a long period of time would make him feel overwhelmed.
"So, my dear child. What is this something you wished to speak with me?"
Diluc proceeded to get up from the kneeling position. He glanced at me.
"Long before your descend into Teyvat, your divine weapon made its way down from the heavens. All over the seven regions, everyone searched for its whereabouts but to no avail, of course, until I stumbled upon it inside a hidden chamber on one of Monstadt's domains."
He explained, and I stayed silent for a while, processing this information. Domains in game normally were used to get artifacts of course not all of them cause there were others that merely were used to complete challenges and for the players to obtain certain rewards, so probably the domain Diluc was talking about was one of those. The question is, which one of all of the domains that weren't artifact domains was the one that he was referring to? Besides the temples that were built for the Four Winds of Monstadt, there was one more that was a one-time domain: Eagle's Gate. So there was a total of five possible domains, still as I wasn't sure I decided to ask.
"So.. about this hidden chamber... In which domain is it located?"
I inquired with a little bit of curiosity. To be honest, I am indeed curious about what Starchaser looks like.
"It's inside of The Temple of the Lion, Your Grace."
He answered almost immediately after I asked the question, "The Temple of the Lion." Of course, I know where it is, but I'm not sure if it's okay for me to go alone. First thing because Venti is not going to let me go by myself, secondly the Knights of Favonius are probably patrolling nearby areas and finally, I also don't know in which part inside the domain is this hidden chamber. So the best thing to do right now is to ask both of them to come with me so that they won't worry about me and so Diluc could show me the right way.
"I see. Would it be too selfish of me to ask you both to accompany me? I'm afraid to run into the Knights in my way to the temple if I go by myself. Besides, since it's been so long, I think I'm going to need a guide to get there."
I said softly with an awkward smile so they could take pity on me and protect me. But with how quickly they answered, I probably didn't even need to pretend anything in the end.
"If you may allow me Your Grace, I'd like to accompany you. As you said, going alone by yourself might be dangerous, so please let me protect you."
Diluc would say almost after I finished asking them to accompany me, Venti seemed eager as well, so I nodded. So after that small talk, we all departed from Dvalin's lair towards The Temple of the Lion, on our way there Venti started to tell me about a certain blonde traveler who helped him save Dvalin and Mondstadt from the Abyss. I chuckled. Of course, I knew that story. After all, I was them when I played the game, and that made me wonder if they ever felt my presence when I played the game. I cleared my throat.
"Venti, was there something remarkable about them?"
I asked, and he seemed to think about it for a while.
"Actually, I'm not sure the reason, but when I first met them. I sensed a vestige of your presence. It was as if you were there, like if they got to be your holy vessel."
I smiled. If only he knew.
"Oh, is that so? How interesting. Besides my power, was there anything else in them that reminded you of me?"
Venti thought for a while before giving me an answer.
"Sometimes they displayed a little bit of this sassy attitude you have usually and also would say really mean things. Even Paimon would whine if they were too rough with her, though I have to admit that when they showed this side is when I remembered you the most and wished you were there with us."
I nodded in understanding. It was not all the time because when playing, I was mostly silent, but when something bothered me, I would always go and say rude things to whoever got on my nerves. So, you could say that there were times when I snapped at Paimon for being... well, too much herself. After a while, we finally arrived at the Temple of the Lion's gates, and Diluc touched the gate. This one shined almost immediately before opening itself, moving backwards until both doors were completely out of sight. The three of us walked inside, and Diluc guided us throughout the inside of the domain.
Compared to what I always saw back when I played the game, everything I've seen until now looks way more incredible in person than behind the screen. We walked down some stairs and crossed a small corridor before arriving at a huge gate. It didn’t even get any to us to touch it when it slowly opened itself. The hall inside was incredibly spacious, and the only thing in there was an incredibly big claymore, like, seriously, that thing was so big that one can only imagine a giant lifting it. I glanced at my companions.
"Are you guys sure that thing is mine?" I question walking closer to it.
Venti and Diluc nod at the same time.
"It is indeed yours, Your Grace." Venti answers.
My eyes fell to the floor stone, and I noticed words inscribed in there.
"Is that... Latin?" I said, and Venti walked to my side.
He narrowed his eyes.
"You can read those runes, Your Grace? I can't seem to recognize them."
Huh? But those are words, not runes... oh, of course. They have a different language system here, so it's obvious that they don't recognize the Latin alphabet. I crouched down to see what it said.
ƨiniʇ tɘ mυiqiɔniɿq tƨɘ ƨinɒni
mυɘm nɘmon ɘdiv
mυɘm nɘmon ɘtibυɒ
mυɘm nɘmon ɘɿitnɘƨ
mυɘm nɘmon oɔid
ɿɘƨɒʜɔɿɒtƧ
"Let's see... it says: inanis est principium et finis." I say out loud, and the words that I read before suddenly start to glow. Oh, maybe it's a seal of some sort.
"Vide nomen meum." I continued. The words I read also started to glow.
"Audite nomen meum..." I kept going. "Sentire nomen meum..."
There are only two more left.
"Dico nomen meum..." I did a pause before standing up.
"Starchaser."
The seal finally broke, and I stepped forward before touching the blade of the weapon. This one immediately reduced its size to one an average human could handle, and then I grabbed the hilt of the claymore and lifted it up. My initial thought was that it was probably going to be pretty heavy. However, that wasn't the case as it felt pretty light, and it had a good balance, you know, as all the heroes of fantasy books say when they finally get the right sword into their hands. Just thinking about a sword was enough for Starchaser to morph into one, I blinked, clearly surprised. Could it be...?
"Venti, can Starchaser morph into any type of weapon?" I asked him.
Venti approached me and gave a glance to Starchaser and then back to me.
"As far as I remember, yes. Actually, I think seeing you being a master with all weapons was the main reason Morax also learned how to wield all types of weapons as well. I also tried, but in the end, the only one I learned to master was the bow." He answered.
I screamed internally like a fangirl, I can't believe he took me as an inspiration to start to learn to handle all types of weapons. I cleared my throat and thought of a staff, so Starchaser morphed into one. It was the only weapon I thought would drag less attention, though it still has this ominous aura in it, so... let's pray that not all people notice that aura. When I lifted my gaze from Starchaser, I noticed something in the back of the room, so I started to walk towards there. Upon reaching the place, my eyes widened at the sight in front of me.
It was a statue almost as big as the one outside of the church in Mondstadt. A woman was sculpted. It had four wings behind her, as well as four arms in which you could see small feathers coming from her forearms. On her legs near her ankles were also smaller wings, two golden hoops on top of her ankles, and she was barefoot. She was wearing a dress with a golden ornament on her waist. There were also golden bracelets on her arms and over her neck and shoulders a golden necklace as well. Her hair was long and wavy, and around her head was something akin to a laurel crown, but they were feathers as well; her expression was calm, and her eyes remained closed.
"Venti, who is this?" I asked.
I heard hurried steps coming to where I was, Venti and Diluc gazed at the statue with awe. Diluc immediately kneeled down, unable to tear his eyes off, I saw small tear drops on Venti's eyes. The silence went for a whole minute before he finally spoke.
"I thought all of your statues disappeared forever, but there was one right here. It's like a miracle, Your Grace." He said with clear nostalgia on his voice.
So... it's a statue of the creator. In other words, a statue of me.
To be continued
A/N: the translation of the Latin I used in this chapter is: "Void is the beginning and the end. See my name. Hear my name. Feel my name. Say my name. Starchaser."
I've been really busy lately, but I wanted to share: have you heard about the most recent leaks that in 5.2 we are going to have a Zhongli and Neuvillette re-run for the second phase? Geo grandpa avoiding the hydro dragon just for Hoyoverse to put them in the same phase. It's hilarious 😂.
Though those banners are going to be the most esthetically pleasing banners to see 🤭. ~ Gigi.
hello hello! i am doing okay-ish, thank you for checking in! ᰔᩚ
i saw the leaks yes orz my reaction is pretty much summed in the tags:
atp i'm just wondering how and if they're going to meet, since sometimes when a character appears in a banner they also appear in the story... you can argue that no, not with the whole natlan aq going on - but consider the fact that it's going to be act v when they're released(?), they're both dragons (and natlan has their saurian & dragon thing going on), and they're both main figures in the story.... i also wonder why they're rerunning zhongli now when chinese new year/lantern rite is so close in january.... something seems off man............ come on geo dragon sovereign reveal hyv come on-
cw. dragon!li and dragon!villette, implied human!gn!reader, hatchlings, fluff
thinking about zhongli in his dragon form. sunbathing on top of a mountain peak in liyue. you're leaning against his tuft of a tail, napping and carefully shielded from the harsh sun by the bushy floof. your little noodle-shaped children are in their dragon forms, strewn on top of their father's back, some flipped on their bellies with their little feets wiggling, all of them purring and just enjoying the lovely day out.
thinking about neuvillette in his dragon form. out in a rain he commanded to fall at some obscure lake in fontaine. you're giggling as he continues to create waves with his tail, though the protective bubble around you prevented you to get wet. your scaly children had long since decided to team up to try and splash their father back as a revenge while riding the waves, fins flicking about in excitement.
It's hard to bully Zhongli when he's in his dragon form.
"I'm going to eat you!" you announce, dashing out of the house and towards your husband, a pair of chopsticks at the ready. It's one thing to try and tease him while he's in his usual state, but right now he's stretched out as a big dragon who merely watches you, amused. "I'm going to pluck all your scales one by one for dinner!"
Zhongli barely even feels anything as your chopsticks poke at his side. He utters a low, reverberating chuckle. "You are adorable."
You pout. "Can you at least try to be scared?"
"Ah, I am terrified," he complies, nuzzling you happily.
You huff and switch tactics - you start gently nibbling on him, but Zhongli doesn't find this disarming in the slightest. Again, he can't even feel it. You're like a fly. A cute, silly, and endearing fly.
Wrapping his tail around you, your dragon husband plucks you off the ground. You yelp. "Shall I nibble on you as well?" he asks, bemused, bringing you closer to his open and waiting mouth.
"Eek! No!" Wriggling around in futility, you glower at Zhongli. "Fight me! Fight me!"
"Darling, you cannot take me in a fight," he answers, nuzzling you again. "My silly baobei."
You shake your head. "Nah, I'd win. Because I'm a fairy! And dragons are weak to fairies!"
Zhongli's eyes crinkle in mischief. "Oh? If you are a fairy, then you must have powers of flight." He holds you up before a tree. "Shall I set you down on the highest branch so you can flutter down by yourself, oh honorable fairy?"
You spend the next five minutes screaming and thrashing while Zhongli is the one bullying you, waving you around in that fluffy vice he calls a tail.

It was no secret that the thing the vision holders wanted the most was to receive the call, from their creator. Aside from the ones that were chosen as starting companions, there were only a few lucky ones that got the chance to receive said calling as it seemed that Her Grace was someone really picky when it came to choosing those that were going to be called to her side. Among all the Liyue vision holders, it seemed that the favorite of Her Grace was none other than the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Consultant; Mr. Zhongli.
Most believed that it was because of his extensive knowledge of Liyue's history, perhaps Her Grace liked knowledgeable people the most. However, people like the adepti knew that the reason was... something else; Morax was the god of contracts and as such Her Grace found suitable to made a contract with him in order to guarantee that he would answer the call when the time came. Of course, he answered her call half because of the contract and half because he would never dream to ignore his creator.
Some time after that news arrived that the next in answering the call was Miss Keqing, the Yuheng from the Qixing. Almost at the same time news from Fontaine said that the Chief of Justice, Mr. Neuvillette also answered Her Grace's call and even from Mondstadt an astrologist named Mona Megistus also answered said calling. Of course there was more than just them who had already the privilege of answering her call, including the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing Miss Ningguang and the famous opera performer Miss Yun Jin.
As member of the adepti Cloud Retainer also had the secret wish that maybe some day her creator would call for her, after moving to live among humans and making a new identity she awaited every day. And when the time finally came, she saw it and heard it... the call from her creator so of course she answered immediately and next time she knew she was in front of the Traveler. Though it would be more appropriate to say that she was in front of her, there was no way of mistaking that right golden eye that shined with ancient power. But why was her expression so... surprised? Disappointed? The adeptus couldn't really tell at all.
"Xianyun? Wow... I mean, thank you so much for answering my call. I... I'm actually surprised because I thought that you might have not wanted to answer my call."
How could she not? Nothing could ever be more important than being at her creator's service, she glanced at her and noticed that after saying those words Her Grace smiled at her, it seemed that after all she was pleased with her answering to her call. Of course, as soon as she got within Her Grace's grasp she immediately showered the adeptus with a lot of gifts and also bestowed her with more power. Just like she had done with all of the other acolytes that answered her calling, Her Grace really loved them so deeply. So, the news that Miss Xianyun from Qiaoying Village got called by Her Grace spread out until it reached Yilong Wharf where a certain young man was also wishing that her creator called for him.
Everyone knew his name, Gaming, one of the guards for the Sword and Strongbox Secure Transport Agency. A lively and passionate boy who also loved Wushou Dances, of course as everyone else he wanted to get the chance to be called by Her Grace but he never thought that he would have more than what he expected because he also got to meet her in person. It was no secret that the blond traveler better known as the Hero of Liyue was the creator's vessel, so when he met with them at Liyue Harbor he thought of himself as a really lucky person.
And to his surprise he not only met Her Grace but also she helped him to reconcile with his father, could he be more lucky? Of course he could, because he felt so special when she extend him a letter and it happened it was no ordinary letter because it was actually an invitation to join her. He was so worried that she would never call for him but it turned out that she prepared an invitation for him and only him. He opened the letter and of course, soon he received tons of gifts and even more power.
"Since you weren't answering for my calls I thought that maybe it would be better to give you an invitation in person. That way you wouldn't be able to reject me right?"
She said, her right golden eye shining as bright as the sun. Gaming felt his heart racing like crazy, he wanted to tell her that it was not that he was ignoring her calls but it seemed that they got lost and never reached him but now... Now he was by her side and not only that, he was not going to forget so easily how excited she seemed upon meeting him for the first time or when she said such things like he was "her precious sunny boy", he didn't have any clue what that meant but for some reason it sounded special and it made him feel that way: special.
After joining Trailblazer's party there have been some changes that I noticed after observing their appearance and behavior, like the snarky answers to my comments about them not being smart enough. Or the less notorious bright right golden eye, which seems to easily go unnoticed since their eyes already have this color... however when it gleams brightly I know it's not them anymore. It's her.
"The most annoying thing about idiocy is that you can't explain it to an idiot."
I said like always.
"Say, Doc. Do you remember when I asked for your opinion? Me neither."
She answered immediately before giving me a smile that was almost saying out loud "Don't care, shut up." Ah, she's here.

It only took me some minutes before I could see Decarabian's tower and honestly, seeing it right before me and not behind a screen made me feel overwhelmed. Maybe it's because of all the elemental energy that flows in this place or maybe because of how big it really looked like... even if it was in such a bad state and almost crumbling, it has been there even after twenty-six hundred years. The wind helped me land on the tower's last floor and as I placed my feet on the ground, I paralyzed upon seeing the figure of someone else in there. Are they going to hurt me too?
"It took you so long to get here that I have started to wonder whenever l would be able to see you. Your Grace."
I... I recognize that voice.
"Tone-deaf bard!... I mean."
I coughed before correcting myself
"Venti. Are you here to hunt me as well?"
His turquoise eyes glanced up at me with confusion.
"Why would I do that, Your Grace? Only a blind fool would not recognize you. I waited a long time for the day you would return to us."
He... waited a long time? What does that mean? He is saying it as if I have actually been here before. I decided to take a seat down on the floor while my brain started to process the information Venti has just told me. If it's like he says, then could that mean that maybe I did used to be a deity here on Teyvat but then for some unknown reason when I ended up in Earth I "reincarnated" there and probably lost not only my memories from this world but also my powers. But wait a minute, if they are addressing me as the creator.. does that mean that I'm the usurper king? Am I really Phanes? I don't understand though I feel like there's information missing.
"Venti, are you completely sure I'm the creator?"
I asked giving him a serious glance.
"Of course you are, Your Grace."
He answered as if that was the dumbest thing to ask. Then I got up from my seat and grabbed him by his shoulders.
"Then... he... he probably hates me."
I whined in a sad voice. And Venti looked at me perplexed.
"He? Who would be such an idiot as to hate you, Your Grace?"
He asked but I didn't answer and I laid down on the floor. My hydro dragon, I'm not going to be able to stand it if he glances at me with hatered on his eyes so I sighed with resignation for I knew that even if I wanted to I didn't have the talent to convince him to not to hate me. Then I got seated back on the floor, I glanced at Venti and spoke.
"Do you have memories of the past? You know, from before I left this world."
I asked and he nodded.
"Of course I have, Your Grace. From back then when I was but a mere wisp of wind and went always following you around."
He said with a smile seeming to reminiscing about his past memories.
"Right, you didn't have a human body back then. Following what you say that I'm truly the creator of Teyvat, then I suppose I was the one to create you. Though I have the feeling that probably was out of pure boredom."
I said and Venti gasped.
"Your Grace, back then you also said something like that. That you only created me out of pure boredom."
Upon hearing that I couldn't help but burst into laughter. Venti looked at me rather confused.
"What's so amusing, Your Grace?"
He asked and after calming down I spoke.
"I apologize, it's just that I find rather amusing the fact that I have stayed almost the same in terms of personality."
Venti's eyes sparkled upon hearing that.
"Is that so? Then, then! What if instead to go and flirt with Morax, you flirt with me instead?"
He asked causing me to almost drown when I breathed in heavily. He immediately brought me some water upon seeing me cough so much, after calming down I glanced at him in disbelief.
"I-I used to flirt with Morax?"
I asked to him and he nodded. Damnit, even back then I was already down bad for Zhongli.
"I... I see. It seems that I had a really good taste in men."
I admitted and he pouted.
"You still like him?! Your Grace, how can you still like that old man? I'm much better than him!"
He said like a child throwing a tantrum. I cleared my throat.
"Let's leave this discussion for another time, could you please enlighten me more about the past?"
I asked and even if he was not that pleased with the sudden change in topic, he still obliged and started to tell me more of the old times. I stayed silent only listening to what he was saying as missing any piece of information would be bad for me, I needed to gather even the smallest of the details in order to process everything and reach out a conclusion. Once he finished I glanced at the sky and noticed it was getting dark already so it would probably be best for him to return to Mondstadt.
"Venti, you should go back. It's getting dark."
I uttered and he glanced at me.
"What? But I was thinking in staying to make you company."
He answered, it was clear that he indeed wanted to stay but.
"You can't stay with me. To the knights and the people of Mondstadt I'm but an imposter, I know that you currently live under the identity of Venti the Bard. And that's more of a reason for you to return, the people are going to start to think you are a traitor if you hangout too much with me."
I spoke and by the look on his face it was more than clear that he understood what I said. After he finally left, I sat down on the floor again and my brain started to go through all of the new information I got all over again. Even after arriving in Teyvat for some reason I've felt that I do belong here but shouldn't I be having back my memories by just steeping on this world? It's as if my connection with this world is being distorted by something... or someone.
I closed my eyes with the intention of meditating, maybe I'm missing a detail so if I concentrate I might be able to grasp it even a little. The night has already fallen so everything at Dvalin's lair was silent, of course with the exception of the sound of the wind hollowing through the cracks of Decarabian's tower. My mind soon started to get focused on the information I've gathered so far, recalling even Venti's stories about the past then suddenly I started to hear whispering voices.
There were a lot of them and I couldn't really understand what there were saying at all, so I tried my best to focus to see if I could maybe get a new clue... a word I could recognize.
"...Sä..."
...
"...Säk'..."
...
"¡Säk'mi!"
I opened my eyes startled, my heart rate had increased suddenly and my breathing was erratic. So I started to take deep breaths to calm down, I didn't know why but for some reason that word... or maybe it's was a name... either way, it felt way too familiar. I was really curious and want to investigate about it but at the same time there was this feeling in my gut that was telling me that I shouldn't dig into it, at least not yet. Since I wasn't really sleepy at all I glanced over the distance and noticed a small white finch that stood over one of the many broken bricks of Decarabian's tower, I smiled and closed my eyes for bit focusing on the image of the small bird and to my surprise I did started to see something.
At first the image was blurry but after a few moments it became more clear... wait... Isn't that me seated in the distance? Why am I seeing myself? Upon opening my eyes everything went back to normal, could it be... an ability to share senses with animals? Just how far away my reach works? To answer that question I closed my eyes once more and visualized one of the cats that was always outside of the Cat Tail's tavern and sooner my vision got adapted just like with the finch. As I suspected I indeed could see what the cat sees and not only that, upon paying enough attention I started to hear noises and voices as well.
If I concentrate enough, could I be able to mind swap with the cat just like Nahida did once with the Traveler? I focused and soon it happened, I moved the cat's body around for a bit when in the distance I noticed that Venti had finally returnned to the city and that he was heading towards the direction of the Angel's Share, so I decided to follow him careful of not getting too close if I didn't want to trigger his allergy. After finally getting inside of the tabern I hid under one of the tables and watched Venti sat down on a chair of the tavern's counter and to my surprise Diluc was there cleaning up some glasses. It seemed he immediately noticed that Venti was there for he started to spoke.
"You went to see her, don't you?"
He asked. "Her?" he... he isn't talking about me right?
"I'm sorry. I don't know who you are talking about Master Diluc. Do you have Dandelion wine?"
Venti asked trying to avoid the talk. Nice cover, Venti.
"If you tell me how is she I'll give you a cup for free."
Diluc said and I saw how Venti's ears perked up. No, don't fall for that!
"In exchange for a bottle. I'll tell you anything you want to know about her."
Venti haggled with a smile. Nooo!!! Tone-deaf bard, you traitor!
"Fine, I'll give you the bottle. Where is she right now?"
Diluc asked. Wait... He really accepted Venti's proposal? No way.
"On Stromterror's lair."
Venti answered. I want to punch him right now, why is he selling my hide out to Mondstadt's Dark Night Hero? And by a mere bottle of Dandelion wine!!!
"Is she injured?"
Diluc asked another question. I glanced at his direction completely flabbergasted. I didn't heard wrong right? He asked if I was injured right?
"She is perfectly fine, with no scratch at all."
Venti answered and Diluc sighed in relief. Why is he sighing in relief??? Then I heard Venti ask him something.
"How come you know it's her and not an imposter like the Knights of Favonius and the rest of Mondstadt?"
Diluc glanced at Venti staying quiet for a moment, I actually want to know that as well. After some time he spoke again.
"Starchaser has been glowing ever since she arrived, unlike with the other one that descended before. Now it seems to want to be on hands of it's rightful owner."
Diluc answers. Starchaser? What's that and why it started glowing ever since I came here?
"Wait, you are telling me that you found the whereabouts of Her Grace's divine weapon?"
Venti asked him and I saw how Diluc nodded. Ohhh, so it's a divine weapon. Then is it something like Zeus's master bolt? Like Thor's Mjölnir? I remember that in almost all mythologies the god's always had a divine weapon. Hades with his helm of darkness, Poseidon had his trident, Odin had Gungnir that was a spear, Hǫfuð the sword of Heimdallr, Sudarshana Chakra the discus of Vishnu and I think Shiva had a trident as well and it's name was Trishula.
"I kept it a secret since anyways no mortal could lay a hand upon it, at least not without getting pulverized."
Diluc said with complete honesty. Well like mentioned in all mythologies as well, no mortal can touch a divine weapon without dying in the process. He then proceeded to ask Venti another question.
"Do you think she will be willing to meet with me so I can lead her to the location of her divine weapon?"
As I understood so far, it seems that Diluc understands that the "worshipped creator" it's not actually the creator and not only that but he hasn't even told to the Knights that he found their creator's divine weapon. Though I think I know why he has kept silent about it, like in the game, he does not trust the Knights and he prefers to handle things alone like he has always done before. But... can I really trust that he doesn't mean any harm to me? From what I have seen so far, people here behave like in the fanfictions I used to read about the imposter alternative universe. Blinded acolytes who would kill anyone who tried to impersonate their divine creator, that's actually one of the reasons why I hate religion and the church so much... because they always do bad things but they back themselves saying that is all in the name of their god.
"I could try to ask her tomorrow, let me convince her first that you don't suppose a threat to her and if she accepts then I'll introduce her myself to you."
Venti answered after a long silence. I then decided to go back to my body after leading the cat's body out of the tavern, after opening my eyes I was still on the last floor of Decarabian's tower so I sighed in relief. So I laid down on the floor and glanced up at the roof that was as just in a bad state as the rest of the tower. If it really turns out that Diluc is a potential ally then I might be able to survive a little until I can set up a plan before leaving Mondstadt, though it's not going to be easy since I don't know what the other characters and vision holders think about me or if they are aware like Diluc that the current creator is not actually their creator at all.
I let out a loud sigh before closing my eyes, just having to think all the things I would need to do tomorrow is already giving me a headache so let's just sleep for now. Let's just hope that the temperature does not get too cold, ahhh... maybe I should have asked Venti to fetch me a blanket. Anyways let's try to sleep and do the brain work tomorrow for right now I'm really tired, I also hope that Diluc can really become in my new ally so I can get to eat food for I haven't eaten since yesterday morning. So, it would be really ideal if everything could go just a little bit well.
Hello there! I know that you might be busy right now but I wanted to let you know an idea that I have, greatly inspired by your post: spanish reader who gets homesick but instead of getting depressed by it starts to do things they used to do back on their world. Dancing to their traditional dances while singing their accompanying songs, teaching the children the games they used to play when they were younger and also telling folktales to everyone who is interested in listening to. If you decide to do this idea and want to incorporate things from Costa Rica, please let me know and I'll help you with anything you need (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。
(Content under cut)
HELLO YES SORRY IT TOOK ME SO DAMN LONG TO GET TO THIS!! 😭 /gen
I went to Costa Rica back in highschool in 2018? I think, and when I tell you I FELL IN LOVEEEE <3333
Costa Rica is a beautiful country and everyone was really nice, vibes were immaculate 🤌 ✨
when u first crash landed in Teyvat, people luckily recognized you from when u were a player!
and u took in whatever culture and traditions everyone was so excited to show you as they were kind enough to give u clothes/food/shelter etc.
butttt… it did get overwhelming after a few months, and u got homesick more and more often :(
after all there wasn’t really an equivalent country to Costa Rica, and you couldn’t just take a plane back home, you were stuck here for… however long it takes someone to leave a video game universe??
You decided to actually do smth abt the crippling depression and “outsider” feelings instead of just rotting away, and went to Sumeru to get closer to the greenery of your home,
it made you feel a little better, but it could be the best, so u decide to lowkey force everyone in Sumeru to convert to Costa Rican LMAO
so ofc u did the most logical thing to convert ppl to a culture, the food!
u helped fund a small restaurant full of classic Costa Rican foods (coughandsoyoucaneatitwheneveryouwantcough)
(u still have the insane mora leftover from what u had in game so ur basically one of the richest ppl in Teyvat ngl 💀)
u recreated just the basic gallo pinto/casado with what was available (some beans from Natlan and rice from Inazuma/Liyue, the Ajilenakh nut from Sumeru acc kinda acts like plantains :0 and local fish/greens for salad)
Needless to say Sumeru is fascinated by the new cuisine and esp since its not a secret that you’ve funded it/made the menu from your homeworld
Alhaitham orders the casado most of the time bc he “admires the exact proportions, its all the nutrients you need, perfectly balanced” NERDDD
Tighnari likes barbudos bc there's not a lot of egg dishes in Sumeru but there are a lot of greens, so he “likes the familiar in unique combinations!”
unsurprisingly, Cyno likes Chancelta bc he can pick it up, eat it quickly, and go on with his patrol
Collei, Kaveh (and secretly Dehya lol) really like being able to munch and snack on sugar cane, (and the plantain imitation desserts!)
(u found sugarcane deep in sumeru forests, it was like on ur world, but sweet flowers sprouted out of the stalks too!)
You decide the next phase was to introduce dances and other fun stuff!!
Nilou was literally shaking with excitement to learn the traditional dances <3 (and also getting ur permission to add fun twists or Sumeru elements to them)
the kids that like to hang around and watch the troupe practice (and join) absolutely got obsessed with swing criollo, it was so cute to watch them all pair up and kinda trip over their own feet trying the footwork out
(u may or may not have teared up bc the band learned how to play a Spanish song for u guys to dance to, just for you)
teaching the theater troupes musicians how to adapt upbeat songs like Caballito Nicoyano or Ticas Lindas
omg getting Nilou Kaveh Faruzan Cyno Dehya (and Dunyazard!) to do the calipso limonense always cheers you up, (which is why they are so eager to do it when ur feeling homesick ❤️🩹)
Kaveh steps on too many people’s toes, Dehya gets dizzy from the spins/turns easily, Faruzan keeps spinning for too long, Nilou and Dunyazard are actually secretly latina bc they're so good at it (did they outdo you?? no, no they couldn't possibly-)
and Cyno just really likes the little dance line everyone makes lol
speaking of the General Mahamatra
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
u CANNOT teach Cyno a new game from your home country, and expect him to NOT be the most competitive mf in Teyvat abt it
that's actually how u spread any games from back home, Cyno just does all the work for you and challenges ppl to things like jackses and no one knows what it is
which he then proceeds to strong arm them into learning and beat their asses at it
(yes Cyno wins against you a lot, sorry lmao)
You definitely had a drinking game centered around it one time and the consequences changed with each person who lost
like Cyno had to learn how to cook tamales that were edible, and more importantly..
Alhaitham had to at least attempt the swing criollo lol
(was it unfairly attractive? maybe. was watching Nilou, who was teaching him, and Alhaitham both do swing criollo 2x as attractive?? that's just for u and the Sumeru vision users to know)
SPEAKING OF ALHAITHAM
absolutely hilarious, yet also impressive?? how quickly he picked up ur slang
smug bastard picked it up based off sheer context/vibes too, u didn't even explain it to him, just u trying to go sit down in ur Costa Rican restaurant and he pulls u back before someone mows u down saying “hey, suave un toque-”
YOUR NECK FUCKING CRACKING BC U WHIPPED AROUND TO LOOK AT HIM SO FAST LMAOOO
(ngl u scared the fuck out of the poor scholar before he got all smug abt knowing slang)
accidentally spread this knowledge to other vision users bc he got in the habit of casually using it, tbh more often when ur not around lol (Alhaitham being caught having habits bc he's fond of other ppl?? never)
his favorite is “qué chante…😒 ” obv lol
so now the forest rangers use stuff like pura vida and tuanis sending each other off on patrols! Collei so cutely excited to explain to other Sumeru ppl or tourists where the words come from and what they mean, spreading ur Costa Rica agenda very well 👌
and the mahamatra like to use “Jale pa’la choza” when coming back from the desert to Sumeru city homebase! :)
ALSO bonus:
u absolutely got leyendas into the bedtime warning/ghost stories of the entirety of Sumeru children lmao
u start spooking kids like Dori (Nahida finds them fascinating)
and after awhile u notice Cyno and Dehya mentioning watching out at night for La Llorona or los cadejos 💀??
like you've genuinely made them paranoid, bc they wanna be sweethearts and protect you from them, like even if they don't believe they exist, they're worried you do and are trying to make u feel better lol <3
☆
an iced coffee? for me?? :O
Blessed be Costa Rica, such a lovely country when I went, and as soon as I got off the plane coming back the first thing I did was make a Costa Rican meal the best I could
like got my mom to prep from dry black beans and rice etc. as fresh as we could get (nowhere near costa rica level btw) and made fresh guac and fried plantain chips and salmon I think? literally cooked the first night back bc I knew I missed the food already/knew id get sick
and I was RIGHT, that food I made was fine, but any other American food so bad I got nauseous
I literally got sick COMING BACK TO THE U.S like 😨???!!! I knew it was bad but not THAT bad lmao
and the first meal I had after that was still a homecooked meal, like my mom made it💀
love the coffee from there too, we even ordered coffee from the farm we visited when I got back to US it was so good (10x better than American obv)
THANK YOU BTW GOLDEN!! FOR BEING SO PATIENT AND LOVELY TELLING ME ALL ABT COSTA RICA <3333
I hope this did some amount of justice to ur beautiful home! :)
Safe Travels Golden Child,
💀♒

It's the whole friggin aesthetic of white hair+white lashes. I'm a sucker for characters like these, so ofc I understand why Caelus is Hestia's favorite. HE IS SO GORGEOUS AHSHHSHSHAHAHSBAGAHWSGHAHWGABWBHSBSVAGQJEBAVHEGBABWHWHA
