High Flamekeeper Reverence Keren of St. Vitruvio's Cathedral

I was once again tagged to make an alternate version of one of my sims, this time by the phenomenal @xandezsims. I haven't really opened my game in a while, but luckily I had this on hand from when I took the pics of Rook for the last one of these I made. So here's my boy Carrion in another -- much happier and less eventful -- life.

Like last time, more details of the AU under the cut.

Essentially, this is Carrion if literally the entire premise of the campaign never happened. I could spend hours talking about the lore, but the tl;dr is that a meteor full of magically radioactive crystals hit the capital city of a country 10 years ago. The city was destroyed and everyone who didn't die in the initial impact or make it out in < 2 hours was transformed into a fucked-up monster.

So, this is Carrion -- or rather, Reverence (his birth name) -- if that never happened.

No meteor means his home is never destroyed, his parents never die, he's never exposed to Delirium, he never meets Theodore, never joins the Silver Order*, and never takes on the name Carrion. (*There is another version of the "no meteor" AU where he does end up in the Silver Order instead of a priest, though. In fact, that's probably the more likely one.)

Instead, he would have followed in his father's footsteps and become a priest of the Sacred Flame.

(The head of a church or area is called a Flamekeeper. Usually only women hold that title, but since there's no crazy monster transformations happening in this AU, we have to get our trans allegory and genderfuckery SOMEWHERE.)

I did not intend for this to be seen as a call out post, bc that was not my intention. If it were a callout post then I would @ these people. This list is only to inform you guys on who to avoid/be wary of!!

When I was posting and sharing CC of my own, I admit, I often kept my mouth shut and skirted the edges of conflict for my own preservation and peace. But the things I've seen just from a single scroll of my feed today are truly, truly awful.

AI generated CC previews, early access CC for Paralives (an indie game IN early access), and low/questionable quality CC for sale in the Sims marketplace.

What the fuck happened where folks think any of this is okay or normal?

If we don't speak up, hold people accountable, and examine why these things are harmful, it's only going to get worse. Keeping the peace is one thing, but staying silent in the wake of the pure bastardization and exploitation of art is another.
