@goldipunch / security breach part two!!
❅ : every time she turns around there are more and more enemies. truly, it seems that an endless flood of grimm and shades and who-knows-what-else has been unleashed, and all weiss can do is attempt to stem the tides. if she’d only had time to spare, she might have messaged one of her teammates and sought them out for back-up, but her every waking moment has been consumed by fighting.
as she conjures a blade of ice to slice away at a barrage of sabyr and shade, weiss feels a sudden wave of exhaustion roll over her. it’s not as if she’s never fought intensive battles before, but this has been a long assault, and it just never quite seems to end. she’s never been the one with the most stamina, and it’s starting to show. as she fights off a yawn, her attention slips for just a moment, and one of the sabyr leaps in —
only to be knocked away flying by a single punch. it takes weiss a second to realize just who’s come to her rescue.
‘…yang? …yang!’ she’s tired, certainly, but seeing one of her friends reignites her willpower — if only for a moment. the hug she wants to give will have to wait. ‘we need to get out of here. they just keep coming… and no one can fight forever, not even you.’
Yang’s priorities were very clear the minute shit hit the fan in perhaps the worst way possible: help every person she came across, keep whatever enemies down and back, and check in on her teammates and friends. the other two were an ever constant as the enemies seemed to be a relentless flood. Grimm and Shade and gods only know what else that laid waste to anything and anyone that tried to stop them. it certainly did seem like a hopeless situation as the time kept passing on, but the Huntress had no plans to give up anytime soon.
especially not when she saw Weiss running from a Sabyr from her perch on a ruined rooftop.
it takes a second for her to spring into action, using the recoil from Ember Celica to give the momentum needed to knock the Grimm back and through what remained of a shop. this really wasn’t how the woman was looking forward to reuniting with the last of her friends-- she also doesn’t like the fact that this is reminding her very much of Mantle and Beacon -- but nothing could be done about that.
one glance at her friend and her eyebrows furrow immediately in concern-- she could tell that Weiss was exhausted. how long had she been dealing with these creatures? whatever the length, it was too long in Yang’s eyes. “ Yeah, I know. As much as I’d like to knock them around, it’s too dangerous. Are you okay? Can you walk? I can carry you if need be. “
