I deserve so much more

I spent 8 years of my life fawning over this subpar human being just to have him cheat on me and then erase my existence from his life without any sort of apology. That is not how you should treat your fiancee. What an enormous jerk. What a literally enormous, alcoholic, sloth-like, lazy, unromantic, self-important, selfish, gas-lighting, gluttonous, cheating jerk. 

I gave up scholarship for a top law school to be with this person, I spent so much time and effort to get to know and be involved with his family, I prioritized him to be #1, and ensured that my time spent with him was prioritized over time spent with anyone else, including my own family. 

I could write so much more about he mistreated me. However, this person certainly does not deserve any more of my tears, or contractions in my heart. I don’t want him to waste any more of my time. 

I don’t want this to turn me into a bitter person. This did not tarnish me. I want this to be an important, invaluable life lesson. Never again will I put anyone romantic above my own needs, wants, and family.
