Mary Vettise & Dan Gunn, the great adventure of the panoramique August 08, 2012 Opening Reception Midnight Wednesday August 08, 2012 GOLDRUSH FINE ART is pleased to announce a two person exhibition presenting new work by artists Mary Vettise and Daniel Gunn entitled the great adventure of the panoramique. “I attempted to [combine], in a single garden, all times and all places. This is no more than fantasy, the desire to have an extraordinary garden, purely for pleasure.”
Standing on a platform in a closed circular interior, whose walls were covered with painted canvases, viewers found themselves in the midst of a setting where the landscape and its horizon line extended in one continuous, total vision, completely abolishing the structure of the interior space to give the illusion of transposition beyond reality into a dream-like other-world.
“a ‘utopian’ space in which the observer is both in a town and in the midst of nature, traveling and stationary, and finally both spectator and protagonist.”

Juan Pablo Garza, THEM ELEMENTALS July 28 - July 30, 2012 Opening Reception Midnight Friday July 28 GOLDRUSH FINE ART is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Juan Pablo Garza entitled THEM ELEMENTALS.
As a starting point for the exhibition THEM ELEMENTALS I used a photographic series entitled SITUACIONES ELEMETALES (2010-2011) a set of images from a simple idea and not many openly: registration objects "geometric" in everyday spaces. Beyond that I just I imposed a few rules of work: all images would be captured with a compact camera B/W and without much technical punches. Of these premises was brewing a job that ends up being a kind review of the basic principles of formal construction, where for some reason seem to leave the objects belong to the reality and can enter a space constructed and ambiguous, perhaps closest to the sculptural and the pictorial, away from this way of thematic more related to photographic tradition but approaching a challenging the same.
I should also state that this series was intended as a return of my work documentary photography or otherwise for the position of some photographers documentary and street photography called early, I interested in this seemingly impulsive way of working and as This decision led to a very different than I normally accustomed, as a direct reference the work of Daido Moriyama and his book Farewell Photography this book aims to be in the range of photo, is generated from images discard, beaten to late the film where what remains is a pure black and some brands of grain photographic, in this sense this seems to be looking Moriyama farewell ends up being more of a raw encounter with photography itself and its materiality.*
