Hello there, it's Fifi. My former art blog malignedaffairs seems to have been flagged to oblivion with no reason given. RIP tumblr. We've had our ups and downs, shadowbans and purges, but the appeals being reviewed by real human beings statement has to be a joke at this point. So sadly, it doesn't look like the issue will be resolved anytime soon.

So I dug out this old sideblog and will continue to post my art here.

For anyone joining new:

I'm Fifi. I've been posting my drawings since 2012.

Itachi (from Naruto) and his beautiful bonds with Sasuke and Shisui will always be in my heart. They got me back into drawing and I'll probably always come back to them in one way or the other.

I love Elden Ring! Especially Morgott. But also everything else about it honestly.

Smaller fandoms: Blade of the Immortal, Vagabond, Dark Souls.

I really love how Itachi’s features in your drawings have changed. Especially his nose! For example, he used to have a small, a bit pointy nose in OLTM, and in Ambrosia he has — IDK how to say it right — a flat one? A straight one? Anyways, I love both of them!

Thank you! Yes, his nose got its own development over the years! It's very dear to me. I love how it looked in the manga and stayed closer to that in the beginning, but over time turned it into a slightly curved out nose that adds a lot of elegance to his face. It's one of those features that I always like seeing on people in real life, too!

Going through all my drawings to choose some to put up in my living room (and negotiating how much yaoi my guests can reasonably take), I'm realizing just how wild of a ride it all was and how happy I am to have been part of it.

A few weeks after moving, I'm fairly confident that this has been an all around win. I have:

- Quiet nights! FINALLY, an end to my suffering. Going to bed has stopped being a source of stress and I no longer need my earplugs. No nightly trampling and driers and ventilators, no having to witness the shitty playlist du jour on repeat at all times of day.

- A peaceful neighbourhood full of beautiful old houses and a small castle, arthouse cinema, several parks, huge grocery store and two cute coffeeshops within walking distance

- Morning sun in the kitchen!

- Both city center and countryside within cycling distance

- Everything else I need to reach within cycling distance, adding a daily workout on the side

- Family nearby <3

- A little patch of garden to plant flowers

- Shy but curious cat always sneaking around my terrace (today she stared me down through the glass door)

- A neighbour saying hi by gifting me a handmade candle

- A nice experience with my swap partner who is also happy with his new place (🙏)

It's kind of funny too... the time they flagged malignedaffairs was also the time when the noise situation in my apartment slowly became unbearable, and I had to come to terms with the fact that this otherwise ideal place wasn't gonna be my long term home. A double loss 😭

At least the apartment problem will hopefully be solved. I'm moving on the weekend 🤞

hi fifi! i saw that you like reading fantasy books and wondered, have you ever read a song of ice and fire by any chance? i recently started reading it and daenerys seems like the type of character you’d enjoy!

Yeah, I've read it and liked it a lot at the time.

Alas, it's been a while but Daenerys didn't do it for me at all.

(Spoilers under the cut)

I'm a little tired of dragons and bored by that avenger/saviour/chosen by dragons trope Daenerys plays into. I was more into everything to do with the white walkers as well as Arya and Bran's storylines and Brienne of Tarth!

But I lost interest after it became clear that the book series won't be finished and the show didn't keep up its good quality in later seasons.
