One of my recent waxes, for a bracelet and pendant... I’m curious: does the word “remember” hold a lot of significance for anyone else? I think that so much of life is remembering. I think remembering is a big deal. Remembering to stop and appreciate someone or some thing, remembering you can always make a better choice, remembering to be grateful, remembering that we are all going to die, remembering to take a walk. Remembering to bond with your elder cat who has been sitting in the same spot all day and you forgot about and walking over there to scoop her up for some cuddle time. Remembering not to take yourself too seriously. Like so much. So this is why “Remember” is my first cast word piece. (As well as Kindred/Spirit BFF pendant). It’s a simple design - I’m curious to see how it turns out! And an idea: can we throw in some things to remember in the comments below, as lighthearted or stark as they may be? I know there’s times, in a business setting, where we aren’t supposed to be totally honest about how business is doing. That’s private. We’re supposed to, if anything, make it seem like we are “in demand”. I posted these pieces (things I’ve made that aren’t available for sale regularly on the website) on insta story today, and I don’t usually bother to do this. There’s a few things I don’t bother to do, and the reason is because that truthfully, my business is extremely slow and has never picked up over the years. I feel like I’ve worked hard over the years, and I certainly can take credit for persevering. I don’t know how many more years I can keep doing just a couple of sales a month, but for now I can at least pay myself on the back for trying, and for coming out with some lovely new pieces, totally blind to whether they will sell or not...! (Not the pieces pictured, my new pieces currently in production...) And as always, even if you can’t purchase something, always feel free to tell me if you like something because hearing the sweet, positive feedback for my creations is always very uplifting 💓 (btw obviously I’m not trying to like guilt people into shopping from me, I just want to share where I’m at, and maybe if you are feeling the same thing we can have some camaraderie or whatever you call it.
