The Jesus plot could've really worked if they had involved Jehsua in negotiating with God and convinced her to put everything back with no heaven or hell and then maybe, cause angels and demons don't exist anymore, a human azicrow ending would've been fine cause it would at least be OUR aziraphale and crowley continuing their lives. with their memories. This would also parallel s1 with Adam refusing to be the antichrist in front of Satan and now jesus refusing to give up this world in front of God.
And in both times it would be aziraphale and crowley being the guiding light to the protagonist. It was that simple.
NO MURIEL!! DONT HIT THAT LOST MARY!!!

"Gay's The Word"
It's rather straightforward 😭 I love it
Me, concluding my summary of a romcom I watched today: everything worked out and only that one person died early on.
Spouse: Gotta love a romcom with a low death count!
Me: Yeah, 8+ billion is a pretty high death count for a romcom. Very unusual
"average romcom has 3 deaths" factoid actualy just statistical error. average romcom has 0 deaths. The Good Omens finale that had 8+ billion, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
This one gif sums up, completely, how I best like to think of Crowley and Aziraphale. Which is a little odd, maybe, considering this footage came from between takes, but to me it encompasses them wonderfully. Crowley bringing joy to Aziraphale simply by being there beside him and saying something which seems absurdly silly at the time but will later make the angel see the world in a new light, through Crowley's lenses. Aziraphale's smile and laughter flooding Crowley's chest with the best feeling he's ever known. And, of course, the Bentley.
If there are still people who believe that Aziraphale's original motivation was to "change heaven" and "do the right thing" (like save the earth), and that he really wanted to return to heaven... AZIRAPHALE SAID THE OPPOSITE WITH HIS OWN FUCKING MOUTH.
There's no subtext, he's literally saying that he doesn't want to return!
Actually, if you think about it that way, this scene is really strong. In terms of Aziraphale's development as a character. He literally told METATRON to his FACE that he did not want to return to heaven because there would be no earthly joys that were dear to him (not literally coffee, because he does not drink coffee, but coffee symbolizes freedom + earthly joys to which he is attached). He openly admitted it in front of METATRON.
And before that, he told Metatron, "There's no point in discussing anything. I've already made my position clear." Oh, my brave, incredible angel...
He only gave in when it came to Crowley and his safety.
I hate how the ending completely forgot about Aziraphale's original motivation - to protect Crowley. Aziraphale didn't realize that the second coming was coming until he entered the elevator. Before that, his motivation was to protect Crowley at all costs until they could figure out what was going on. Yes, the news about the second coming played a role in his motivation - he couldn't let the planet burn down. But that wasn't his original motivation.
No nuance poll for Slorch!!!

Read “When I am dead, my dearest” by Christina Rossetti right now and tell me it doesn’t remind you of Crowley and Aziraphale!!
“When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.”
I mean it even mentions nightingales. This has been a heartbreaking discovery for me but I thought I should share with the group.

One more time?
Since I saw some people have misunderstood: this is NOT a “fix-it” comic. It’s just a comic based on a completely different story not connected with the last episode of GO. No Jesus, no crazy Michael burning the Book of Life. Just the Armageddon 2.0.
I take this as a chance to start to draw more often my “Incorrect Omens” (Hariel and Aym).
Crowley would be very happy with how the new universe turned out
