i hate that most of their physical intimacy is haunted to the point where i doubt they got to enjoy any of it. they held hands for miracles. they danced but crowley was panicking about the demons outside. he confessed knowing it was doomed. they kissed but it was out of desperation. finger kiss but they are about to die? held hands again but ah too late they are evaporating.

The ending of GO3 could have worked if we were shown repeatedly how awful the original world was. If it was some horrible dystopia, erasing it and starting over could have been justified (even though I still think there are better ways of "fixing" worlds than erasing them).

But the world was... just a regular world? Like this one we live in? Just people living their lives, trying their best, having free will.

The ending just seems to belong to an entirely different story.

(AND if you argue "but Heaven and Hell comdemned people after their deaths", then the answer lies in changing Heaven and Hell, not erasing the entire world as it was.)

Maybe im in the wrong but i get so fustrated every time someone says "they got thier cottage" or "they got married". NO THEY DIDDNT, THEY GOT DEAD, VERY VERY DEAD.

The reason Crowley wants to start a new humanity is because he claims that they do not have free will, but isnt that the whole point of the eden story? Adam and Eve did not have free will in the garden of eden because they wernt aware of an alternative. They knew only ignorant bliss, until Crowley came along and allowed them to understand that there is so much more than just that. God punished them by kicking them out but as (the fandoms patron sait) Hozier said "which side of the wall really suffers that cost?". Aziraphale made it so that humanity could survive and Crowley made it so that we could grow. Now compare that to the ending, Crowley saying that we dont have free will, the humanity that even he has spent a book, a musical, and two seasons of a TV show admitting he never has to interfere with because we always think up something so much worse than he could have thought of can't control our fate? Humanity always had free will. Its such a slap in the face to the original story and such a slap in the face to Adam and Eve to imply that it has never been put right before.

Did the writers of GOS3 forget that the reason queer people enjoy fantasy is to escape to a world where we don’t have to deal with all the shit we do and retreat into a world of something bigger. Especially a fantasy like good omens where every single person is unapologetically queer without need for explanation. Yeah go ahead and destroy that universe, have the characters kill themselves for our universe, which is supposed to be so much better?
