Hmmm, this was apart of my Adventure time AU

(Which i'll admit, I did not put much thought into it. I was just listening to remember me or whatever that song was called and fell down a rabbithole of angst from the idea of iruka forgetting naruto and naruto doing everything he can to make him remember 😔)

But basically Iruka was the Ice king and naruto was marceline or something like that lol

This might of been apart of a pirate AU. Or I just wanted to draw Iruka in a big hat lol.

I actually do have a pirate AU somewhere in my notes, I should go find it. Pretty sure i actually have multiple pirate AUs. Love the idea of a reluctant pirate captain Iruka.

But basically, Iruka becomes a pirate in search of his "kidnapped" students. (They weren't actually kidnapped, they just hid on kakashi's ship and he didn't notice until it was too late to return them, or something like that. But Iruka doesn't know that. I guess you could say they have been kidnapped since kakashi refuses to return them to the island. )

Maybe Kakashi recognizes Naruto and Sasuke and is like 'holy shit. Is that the old Captain's kid?? AND Itachi's kid brother?! Well now I have no choice but to keep them. Man Itachi is going to be so happy I found him. (Itachi has been looking for his little bro, somehow sasuke ended up seperated from the uchihas at birth or something)

Kakashi is also like 'Idk who that little pink haired girl is tho. Maybe tsunade (the doctor on board) needs an apprentice. Or at the very least, someone to stop her from drinking to death. '

Kakashi slowly begins falls in love with Iruka by listening to stories from the kids (specifically from naruto because that's his adopted dad. He'll have the best things to say about Iruka lol.)

Imagine his suprise when he finds out the new pirate crew he's been hearing about is actually lead by the man he's lowkey been falling in love with AND HE'S EVEN MORE ATTRACTIVE THAN KAKASHI THOUGHT POSSIBLE.

Imagine naruto's delight when his adopted dead turns out even MORE cooler than he thought.

Imagine Iruka's dread when he finally finds his students, only to be flirted with by the (Hot? He tries not to think about it) person who "kidnapped" them and that his kid now wants to be the "greatest pirate ever".

It gets even worse for him when he finds out that Sakura and Sasuke also want to be pirates. (Sasuke to follow his brothers lead and Sakura to make sure her boys don't die stupid deaths.)

On the plus side, i've lowkey been thinking of a zelda AU where iruka is link and kakashi is prince sideon. Idk how i would do that tho. So maybe Kakashi can zelda lol. Or do the reverse. Maybe iruka can be prince sideon (but dolphin vibes, not shark ones. I kind of dig that.) And kakashi can be link.

Idk, think i need to go play botw or phantoms hourglass. That probably give me some ideas

I totally think Kakashi would make a good Rip and Iruka would make a good Beth. Or maybe even the reverse. Idk I like the idea of a messy Iruka lol

Idk, something like Iruka took naruto and ran off? At first the hokage was all for returning them home but suddenly changed his mind. Now kakashi is left searching for them in secret and trying to find out why he skedaddle. The note Iruka left him only raised more questions.
