Vintage Los Angeles

This picture was taken in that long walkway at Los Angeles International Airport in 1966 just before Brian Wilson’s retreat from the world. Story goes that Brian’s then wife Marilyn Wilson called their group of friends, including The Turtles & Van Dyke Parks, (wearing the hat), to join her at LAX to greet Brian when he landed. She wanted to prove to Brian he was truly loved.

not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not but....pet sounds solos like...90% of the Beatles entire discography

Pet Sounds and SMiLE are absolutely better than anything The Beatles did and that's okay. I'm a lifelong Beatles fan and I think they're the greatest BAND of all time, but Brian Wilson as an individual composer and producer achieved more than they did with those two albums/projects

Like nobody has ever done any piece of music that feels just like SMiLE other than Brian Wilson. The only other things I can think of that kinda feel similar is Song Cycle by Van Dyke Parks which doesn't count because he cowrote SMiLE and Rio Grande from BW88 which also doesn't count because Brian did that
