im lowkey glad that the netherlands game isn’t going to be on free tv for me. my ex-bestfriend is dutch and i associate the friendship and stuff with the country so i kinda have a deep rooted hatred for the netherlands now.

recently bought arcadia fallen 2 and i swear to god i haven’t been obsessed with a game like that since i’ve played baldur’s gate 3. it’s a bit weird bc i usually don’t like visual novels. ahhhhh. maybe im gonna post my thoughts about the game here.

baldurs gate 3 is such an insane game. i’ve literally played it over 10 times and i still managed to experience something new today. i used speak with the dead on 'miri', the dead woman in the burning inn, her husband suddenly intervened and begged my character to ask her where she hid the dowry. it was mind blowing, since characters usually don’t talk or intervene when you use speak with the dead.

Last year JK Rowling personally funded a group called Sex Matters to amend UK law so that trans women *overnight* went from legally women to legally men. This has resulted in mass exclusion of the trans community from numerous organizations, along with ongoing violent assaults on both trans and cis women alike.

With the new Harry Potter series she will be making a reported $20 million per-season renewal + other performance dependent royalties. She has been open across multiple interviews regarding her intentions to use said funds to push forth even more trans targeted legislation in the years to come.

This isn’t a “she gets paid no matter what” situation. The more eyeballs on this show the more money she has to actively harm vulnerable communities. By engaging with it you are directly supporting this and otherwise making a conscious choice to consume HP over doing the literal very least possible to not destroy the lives of trans people across the world.

More game devs need to understand the following concepts:

There is a finite amount of memory on any given device.

No matter how good your game is, players will want memory for other things on their devices.

Not everyone has a stable internet connection so making single player games needing an internet connection is not good.

saw one guy on yt, "kelski", take the "romance hans" choices (mostly as a joke i think) but at the end, actually chose hans over katherine because "Katherine is super hot but her chemistry with henry has nothing on henry and han's chemistry with each other". 1 cishet guy with functioning eyes and ears in existence lol

i literally can’t watch cis straight male streamers when it comes to kingdom come: deliverance. i think they mischaracterize hans a lot and can't see the depth of his character, + they often have those very cis, heterosexual goggles and really don’t have an eye for queer tension. it's really frustrating, tbh.

i just found out milton welsh, who voices kubyenka in kcd 2, is german. i KNEW IT. the random german words he sometimes says, also when voicing other npcs, were too perfectly pronounced.
