there's also 4 stages to how you approach making stuff from chainmail rings:

1. obtain pre-cut chainmail rings online via specialized shops

2. realize that shit is kind of overpriced

3. look for alternatives, such as creating your own chainmail rings from specific wire just like the ones you had

4. fuck it. SAI 4043 MIG 1.2mm aluminium wire for welding 2kg and a hand crank
