Oh my goodness, I got Far Cry 5 and New Dawn on sale on steam for mega cheap ($20 for the pair)! Looks like I’ll be getting back into the game once I get home from vacation!!! Hopefully that’ll inspire me to write old fic ideas I had too.

Do you all remember when Far Cry 5 first came out in March 2018 and it was all sunny and getting lighter and you’d load up your game and here the menu music and it was just like the best feeling???

Accidental Jacob Headcanon

Ok, this is going to be a bit long-winded but this might have been one of the funniest ‘dnd’ nights in a long time for me and it resulted in one of the cutest, most wholesome Jacob headcanons I’ve come up with. Ok so, my Thursday night group does a game rotation between 3 different games, one of which is where every player takes an established character from visual media and they are tossed into a ‘simulation’ of sorts where they have the chance to change something about their life. The catch is they lost their memories in doing so and will only get them back as they go through trials that the person that brought them their set before them. Well, I chose Jacob and while going through a ‘candy land’ game trial and, not wanting to lose spaces in the game for refusing to do a task, he had to braid another player characters hair. In doing so, I tried to pass it off as he knew how to do so because his sister Faith was able to cox him into learning how to do it. Thus a new headcanon memory was added to the list for him to remember later down the road.

So long story short: I now headcanon that Jacob was taught how to braid hair by Faith.

Anyway, that is all! lol

        Hello, all! Welcome to the planning stages of Far Cry 5 Week, 2019!

We’re setting aside the week of September 22 - 28 for 7 days of celebrating such a phenomenal game and its community!

We welcome writing, art, GIFs, edits, screencaps/screenshots, videos, boards, collages, etc. - anything you wish to contribute towards the celebration!

Each day will have a general theme that you can use as a springboard for contributions. They are as follows:

Day 1 (Sept. 22): Hope County - Herald regions, locations, story missions, side missions Day 2 (Sept. 23): The Project at Eden’s Gate - The Seeds, Peggies, The Project Day 3 (Sept. 24): The Resistance - Guns/Fangs for Hire, Resistance leaders, NPCs Day 4 (Sept. 25): The Hope County Sheriff’s Department - Deputy Hudson, Deputy Pratt, Sheriff Whitehorse, Marshal Burke, the Sheriff’s Dept. as a whole Day 5 (Sept. 26): In the Forest Hides A Light (OC Day) - The Junior Deputy, Peggie OCs, GFH OCs, NPC OCs Day 6 (Sept. 27): Now That This Old World is Ending (The Music) - The score, the Project’s songs, the licensed soundtrack, lyrics Day 7 (Sept. 28): When the Morning Light Shines In (Positivity/Free Day) - Fandom positivity and love! Free day for any other contributions!

We will track the hashtags #FC5Week and #FC5Week2019 so that we can feature your creations here!

A few general rules:

- There is no limit on the amount of entries you want to put forward for each day! Make as much as you like and share them with the community! - Similarly, don’t feel pressured to have to put something forth each day! Even if you only feel the energy or drive to create a single piece, we will be happy and honored to have you share it with us! - Late submissions are accepted and welcomed!
