With the rate of crime as high as it was, there was never a dull day in Gotham City. There was always some freak out to bring the city to it’s knees - always some psycho bent on ruling the world - but, that just made life all the more thrilling for Edward. Today, it was just the average shop-lift - a painless job, really - but, chasing after some petty criminal trumped over lounging around the tower any day. “I was having a pretty bad day ‘til you showed up - so, thanks for that.” From the shadows, his toothed grin reflected the boisterous undertones of his ‘entrance’ - emerging with a self-assured pace and gun slung across a shoulder. “You best be putting that back. All of it. I’d hate to make you scrap the cosmetics for facial reconstruction.”
You know you’ve got a problem when you hear the voice of some self-declared superhero asshole and don’t immediately want to bash his face in. She stopped in her tracks, a smile quirking one corner of her lips up, and slowly pulled her hood down, hair tumbling down over her shoulders.
“It always warms my heart that you’re happy to see me, handsome.” As she turned to face him, Bambi calculated the odds that this encounter would end without a fight. Not high, she figured. “You trying to tell me that the horny douchebag working the counter not only noticed I lifted some makeup, but then called the cops and they had time to get a hold of you? In the last two minutes. No way, cupcake. I don’t buy that for a second.” Hands retreating back to her pockets, she sauntered over to him, still smirking, and gave him a long once-over. “That slow today, huh? I’ll tell you what. We can forget all about this, and I’ll take you out for some frozen yogurt. My treat.”
