Hereās another story Iād like to share. When I was a small girl (maybe 6-8 years old) I would go to my grandparents out in our reserve. Behind their house was woods, the woods seemed endless.
One day my older Cousin Jessie & I were playing in the backyard by the sheds (behind the sheds is where the woods began) and she said she needed to use the bathroom so I watched her walk to the house and go inside.
I turned around and there she was, standing behind me and smiling,
āCome on Gerri, letās go play in the woods.ā Jessie said as she tugged on my arm quite hard.
I began shaking my head because our grandmother said to never go in the woods because thereās things in it and that it isnāt safe.
āCome with me Gerri.ā Jessie continued to say, pulling me towards the woods.
It didnāt feel right, I knew something wasnāt right because I watched Jessie go inside.
āGerri, Come eat!ā I turned to see Jessie standing at the backdoor.
I turned around and Jessie was still holding my arm and I looked back at the back door and Jessie was still standing there.
I ripped my arm away from Jessie and ran towards the house, I never once looked back because I knew Jessie.. or whatever that was would still be watching me.
Once I got inside I told my grandmother, she hugged me tightly & saidĀ āThatās why I tell you kids not to play by the woods.ā
To this day I still wonder what the hell happened & what that thing was & why it wanted me to follow it into the wood.
