She had no recollection of it all, honestly... There was no possible way that what she was thinking now was actually true, was it? Of course it was. There would be no other explanation, she would never know how or when, there had been the opportunity to find out at one point, but that was gone now. Rubbing her lips together, she realized tears had escaped her eyes and quickly dried her tears, making her way from the room that was no longer her own... Or had it ever been hers? She had no idea.
Heading for the common room, she sat at the piano, hands hesitating above the keys as she craved to brush her hands over them, to present those she loved with the last piece of her own, but footsteps sounded from outside the door and she jumped, glancing towards the door in a freeze frame position. Suddenly feeling stupid as a guard entered the room, taking a brief look around and leaving, he couldn't see her. Nobody could, if she didn't want them to.
She sat there for hours, eventually shifting as the sun peeked through the windows of the asylum. She'd have to do it now, no use in dragging it out. Making her way towards her room, she moved towards Wyatt, who slept soundly beneath her sheets. "I'm sorry," she breathed, placing a gentle kiss against his ivory flesh before departing the room altogether. Soon he would wake, and so would Phe and Eli, Olly and Dolton, and everyone else she had come to care for... Soon they would know what she had found out.
Gaia was dead.
