tonight i made my own lip balm! this was a small trial run, i bought glass shot glasses (six for a few bux lol) to use in a pot with water as a tiny double-boilers. this idea worked out awesomely.

this ended up a little soft, next recipe will have more wax i think. i kinda like it though, its not very thick/balmy. i ended up adding the cocoa butter after doing a few test drops. this was the final recipe:

2 tsp coconut oil

1 1/2 tsp beeswax

1 tsp cocoa butter

1/4 tsp vitamin E oil

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (it separated, though. need proper flavor oil)

small piece of red lipstick (this was so cool)

it’s SO cute and such a nice color. and tiny shotglass-sized batches also means very little effort. i’ll probably try another one tomorrow night :D
