Free time||Gracelyn & Lupe
She was surprised Grace had admitted so much, but then again she hadn’t given her any indication that she was extremely intelligent. Though she was a Super, Lupe was cautious with this one’s gift. What if she healed too quickly? But then again, that could benefit both of them. Her demeanor changes instantly as she made up her mind to be nicer to the girl; if only to gain ground for herself. “I am.”
She hadn’t bothered to mention the fact that healing herself wasn’t an option, or at least not one she’d discovered actually worked yet. No one needed to know that. Although this was supposed to be a safe place for people like her and the girl standing in front of her, she knew she couldn’t be as trusting as she used to be. There were always people around with ill intentions.
She was a bit disappointed when the girl didn’t offer up what her particular ability was, but she knew not to push. She’d gotten a smile out of her, albeit a tiny one, which was more than she’d gotten since she’d begun talking to her. “Good.” It was nice not to feel so alone, though she wished they didn’t have to be so secluded. She was able to shake most of her naivety from her outermost layers but inside she was still quite wishful. “It’s been really nice meeting you.” She doubted it would make much difference, but Lupe was the first person she’d spoken to since she’d arrived; and regardless of her cold demeanor, Grace was genuine when she spoke those words.
