@gracemikaelson
@leon-s--kennedy okay but picture Leon having to leave for a mission briefing or something while Gracie is in the hospital and this happens. I JUST!!!
Brave soul.
MY WARRIOR:
“To be honest, it takes quite a lot to catch me off guard, so I’m probably not the best person to test your ‘skills’ on.” He replies with a light smile. Honestly, he couldn’t understand why people insisted on trying to scare him– it usually never worked. “Maybe you got a little better, but I haven’t noticed.”
She pouts though it was playful, but soon she smiles at his little comment. “Awe, thanks for trying to make me feel better.” She says with a soft giggle before gently taking his face in her hands, pulling him towards her she gives him a soft kiss on the lips, “It just proves why I call you my strong warrior.” One final kiss was given before she released him, “You smell good today.”

She just might have to go….

CLAIRE:
“We live in a world where money’s Everything, are you really surprised? —Probably more than my rent costs, Knowing the hospitals around here.”
“Quite. Yes.. but I have to remember that time has changed. --Depends. Does your rent cost nine-hundred and eighty-two dollars?”
JIMMY PAGE:
A meek smile pulls up on the corners of his lips at her subtle compliment. He liked to think he made up for this utter LACK of writing skills, but often doubted that he truly did –––––her words that told him otherwise were more than nice to hear. “ ‘fraid I can’t, ” he replied with a chuckle skipping in his voice “ so if you’d like to, I certainly wouldn’ mind hearin’ an entry or two. ” looking back up to meet honeyed brown hues, he gives the girl a soft grin, following her gesture, laying the back of his head down atop the pillow, propping an arm beneath his head “ Alright! ” he beamed up from her lap “ Whenever your ready. ”
Gracie smiles warmly, watching him situate his head on the pillow. Once he confirmed he was ready and comfortable, she opened the slightly worn book and began to look over a few pages. Finding one, her tongue comes to wipe across her lips and she began to speak,
“October twentieth. Year? I don’t remember. I was in the hospital for a week and everything was so scary and new and far more advanced than my small mind could possibly grasp. I finally have a name for my illness and I am not the only person that suffers from it. Medications and treatments of some sort is required, but they are not always successful. Which makes me wonder, if it is not successful, why not try to make or find something that is? So many illnesses in this world, and nothing to properly treat them. Madness. At least I get to leave this place tomorrow morning. My birthday is in a few days and the family watching over me want to throw a party in my name and wear costumes. Apparently everyone celebrates my birthday date - Halloween is a very big deal, I see this now. I am actually looking forward to that, considering I’ve never celebrate my birthday before.. my hand is starting to hurt and I am growing tired. I’m ending this here. Hopefully tomorrow I feel a tad bit less stressed and no one will prick me with these horrible needles and inject me with these medicines. I’d rather be sleep again...”
She finishes and looks at him before giving a small shrug, “I was a very depressed and confused ostrich all those years back.” She chuckles softly.
ROSE:
As she heard the girl speak more, she could hear the traces of an accent that certainly didn’t come from New Orleans. Smiling at her enjoyment of the city, Rose did have to admit that part of its charm was the eccentricity she mentioned.
Curious about this girl, Grace, who was ill, but still so bright, she glanced away at the more personal questions about herself. “Oh, I doubt that. We’re not very vocal about ourselves. But I am glad that you found your family, and that you seem to be happy about being with them. Though…there is a slight hesitation in your voice. You don’t have to share with a stranger, but I’m sure they know they’re lucky to bring you into their fold.” Though Rose had to tell a lie about her own family, her words about Grace’s were the truth, or as true as she saw them.
If there was one thing Gracie was extremely good at, it was reading someone’s facial features. She could see the faintest hint of sadness in Rose’s eyes, but she could not pinpoint exactly what was causing it - could it have been because of family? She was curious but refused to ask because of boundaries.
“Slight hesitation?” She questions softly in a bit of surprise. “Oh no, no you are fine. I’m quite open if I get good vibes from someone... I get great vibes from you, so you’re totally fine.” Soft giggles past from her lips, “I just didn’t know there was so much going on within my family, that’s all. A majority of time I am kinda, safely pushed to the side... but it happens, I understand. And you never know, I could have seen a member of your family before.. I’m a social butterfly, as I am sure you can tell.” She offers her a bright and sweet smile, showing her teeth.
MY WARRIOR:
He wasn’t surprised to see a face pop up near his, too close for his eyes to actually focus and make a clear image. But he chuckles and shakes his head slightly, resting a hand on her shoulder so he can clearly see her face. “Afraid not, Gracie. And shouting ‘boo’ isn’t exactly the best strategy when sneaking up on someone.”
Soft giggling could be heard from soft pink lips. Taking a small step back as his hands grasp her shoulders, so he could see her features properly. His words made her bottom lip stick out and brow furrow in a pout, “Oh, come on! Not even a little bit? I really tried that time.” A hint of a smile started to form as eyes stay connected.
