JJK AI SMAUS (holy abbreviation)

As of late my Tumblr page has just been rants and Keith shadis post but I just wanted to bring this up because I feel like the quality of jjk smaus have gone down over time.

Incase you couldn't tell by the title of this post, JJK smaus (and smaus in general) feel extremely AI now. And I know AI steals from actual writers and that could contribute to the feeling, but smaus have started to feel like screenshots of AI chatbots, from extremely out of character texts, odd grammar, and repeating texts/ restating the same sentence over and over (example: character:hi! Im eating dinner! YN response:blah blah character: idk im eating dinner. And so on)

Although this could be chalked up to nonproofread smaus or inexperienced writers since a lot of jjk smaus (atleast from what ive seen) are made by new writers.

That being said, the influx of inexperienced writers could also be what's leading to more AI fics, because why learn how to write for a character when you can just throw a prompt into a machine and get it back? The amount of new users being overwhelmed by experienced users (that are amazing and dont use AI) are contributing yo the downfall of fanfiction as a whole

Ive also been seeing a lot of gen ai fics on ao3 and Tumblr, usually posted by people who plug their posts with so many tags and hide the "AI tag" at the very end", and fics being tagged with genai and smau posts forgetting to crop the "this is an ai chatbot not a real person" message.

Id like to add that i am not writing to discourage new writers. I believe new writers should feel welcomed by their respective community instead of being discouraged by larger artists. But I am begging you do not flood a place that is so uniquely human with ai slop.

Feline

Keith Shadis finds a little kitty!

The barracks were cold, the summer rain cooled the training grounds to a sickening degree, and yet work needed to be done.

Keith treaded the cadet barracks, listening for hints of rowdy teenagers, but his ears fell on something else, a faint yelp coming from under the stairs of the girls barracks, he sighed, assuming it was cadet Braus trying to sneak food again. He ascended down the flight of 3 stairs, leaned down and, "𝓶𝓻𝓸𝔀" a cat stared back at him, a small, scrawny black thing. Soaked by the rain, shivering as if its bones were being rattled by death itself.

The two exchanged glances, Keith crouched in front of the stairs, assured he looked like a creep kneeling Infront of the barracks, the long tail of his military coat pooling in a puddle of water. The cats paws kneading in a puddle, almost as if trying to find comfort in the uncomfortable.

He then stood, and made his way back to his quarters. If he stopped to care for every stray that ended up on training grounds there wouldn't be any room for the cadets. He was always busy, he couldn't take care of a cat and his daily duties. His mind scolded him for even acknowledging the cat. Had he never seen it, he wouldn't have had this dilemma. But, had he not seen the cat, surely one of the cadets would've taken it in, and that was just as bad. The only thing worse than a dumb cadet is a dumb cadet with a secret. He paused. Rain drops splashing on his bald head.

'I guess a cat could help keep out mice,' he turned 'And animals are good for exposing nearby titans' before he knew it his legs carried him back to the stairs, he reached under to were the cat was now soaking wet, the waters having risen substantially.

He grabbed the cat by the back of its neck and rested it on his shoulder.

"Don't get too comfortable, you wont be getting this attention often" Keith stated, but it felt as though he was telling it to himself. Keith spent the rest of the night wrapping the cat in warm blankets, feeding it his leftover meal, and swinging a shoestring back and forth in front of it.

The cat, whom he dubbed "Feline," was smart, finding her makeshift litterbox immediately and following orders. Keith lay in his bed, Feline curled, sleeping soundly on his comforter.

'Don't get comfortable' he reminded himself.

For the rest of the 104th cadets training career, he was often seen with a small black cat on his shoulder.

Nanami stared at your small frame, "didn't you have an event to go to?" he questioned, raising an eyebrow and taking off his green goggles, returning home from a long day at work to see his ward curled up in a ball on the kitchen floor. "couldn't go." you shifted and stared at the tiles, "I don't know anyone there, I would've ruined the mood. "you shrugged. he sighed and took a seat next to you. " I'm sure your friends would've been there" he said but it sounded more like a question "I don't think they even like me. I don't wanna ruin the event for them by clinging to them all night" you rubbed at your eyes. "I think I'm broken. Maybe I'm not meant to be around people" your voice was quiet. The only thing that could be heard was the fridges ice machine. " So what? if your friends don't like you ditch them and make new ones." he stated, assuming it was the end of the conversation he tried to stand up "I don't know how." The blond man turned to look at you. I transferred too late. I wont be able to make new friends, everyone knew each other in middle school. I cant even talk to someone without wanting to throw up." you cried "I got ready and everything but I got scared and stayed home." you sobbed and Nanami stared at you before wrapping an arm around you and pulling you close "That's fine. You're new at this, its okay to be scared." he rubbed your side soothingly but it didn't stop the hard sobs that left you. " Just take deep breathes. you'll be fine" you shook and cried on the cold tile floors as your sobs filled the cold, tiled room.

THE PET NAMES IN JJK FICS NEED TO BE STUDIED😭 if it isn't toji calling the reader "ma" or "mamas" its every other character calling the reader a really uncomfortable name (when you take into consideration that the read is an adult) that's usually used for little girls.

The problem with JJK fics

I may be over thinking it but am I the only one that noticed how racist the JJK community is?

(Before we get into this I'd like to mention that I'm a black woman I can say this ToT)

(I'd also like to add that this could've been written better but It's pretty late, I'm tired and I didnt proof read. feel free to leave your opinions in the comments)

I think it's so odd how certain characters are written as stereotypical black men ( aggressive, constantly sex hungry, poor, and for some reason always speaking with AAVE??)

The perfect example of this can be found in JJK SMAUS, if you read any of them you'll, 9 times out of 10, find Toji being written as an aggressive (and lowkey toxic) man that can never have a conversation without bringing up sex. And for some reason always texting with an odd accent and using AAVE??? He was literally raised in a castle by one of the richest families in Japan he wouldn't be saying stuff like "Ma, yer', 'm" He would communicate like a literate adult and not like a weed smoking highschooler (He would NOT be speaking like a nonchalant dreadhead please free him)

This also applies to Sukuna. Just like Toji, he literally LIVED in a castle and is known for speaking overly formal (because he's literally the KING of curses) but in fics he's written like the average joe that uses slang and fancy words on occasion.

These two characters would NEVER use words like "Lowkey, cap, ain't, hella or bouta" These characters were literally raised in high society and would not use AAVE when speaking/texting. It's the equivalent of writing a character like Erwin Smith or Nanami Kento as men that use AAVE and slang. Just Imagine Nanami saying something like "Ayo, wassup Ma?" or "tf is you on??"

I believe that these cases of mischaracterization in the JJK community (and the anime community in general) stem from micro aggression and internalized racism which is why authors are more likely to write characters like Toji, Sukuna, Mahito, and other characters like Bakugo Katsuki, Dabi, Eren Yeager, and occasionally gojo, as stereotypical black men because they subconsciously see them as racist caricatures of black men.

In conclusion, Toji and Sukuna are quite literally on the same literacy level (if not higher) than Nanami. If you genuinely believe any of the above mentioned characters you should consider if they would act like this despite their educated background , or if you think they would behave like, this because you subconsciously associate aggressiveness with black men.

"Mikasa turn your volume up!" Armin yelled while rocking back and forth on the couch.

"I'm doing my best!" Mikasa deadpanned as she moved through Ballora's gallery,

"Mikasa lock in! What are you doing?!" Eren yelled while shaking her back and forth. The trio sat in Erens dark living room playing FNAF sister location on the brunette's PS5.

"I'm almost there, have faith in me, Eren." Mikasa smirked as Armin continued to beg her to turn up the volume.

"PLEASE! PLEASE TURN IT UP!" Armin yelled, anxiously awaiting the incoming jump scare.

"You need to listen for her song! Mikasa!!!" Eren shouted.

"I know what I'm doing, I can find my way out of this twisted gallery." Mikasa sighed.

The TV screen illuminated the dark room with a blue light, Eren and Armin were at Mikasa's side, wholly doubting that she could beat all of sister location without the sound. Suddenly Ballora lunged at the screen, her face plates opening and thoroughly shocking the three on the couch. The teens sat in the dark while staring at the game over screen, "We'll have to start over from the beginning,"

Armin sighed and Eren stood to turn on the lights "Lets take a break," Mikasa sat the controller down before standing and taking a long stretch.

"I'm hungry" Armin stood, copying Mikasa's stretch ,

"My mom ordered us some Pyxis' Pizza!" Eren beamed.

"Can I play next?" Armin asked. "I'll consider it," Eren scoffed.
