ೀ Hello everyone!
── .✦ I won’t reveal my real name, so you can call me however you’d like. I’m the author of Momoka Sakuragi, and I’d love to introduce her to you and discuss everything about her.
༘⋆❀ Name: Momoka Sakuragi (百花 桜木)
── .✦ Why this name? Because Momoka is inspired by Sakura Haruno (as well as Cadence and Yor). I actually have quite a few OCs across different fandoms. For example, I already have one for Sweet Home, so I was worried people (or even I) might get confused. But since Momoka is deeply tied to cherry blossoms, I decided her clan would be called Sakuragi (ChatGPT actually helped me come up with the name). Just “Sakura” felt more like a personal name than a family or clan name.
── .✦ The word Momoka can be written in different ways depending on the kanji. In this case, 百花 translates as “a hundred flowers” – which also reads as Momoka.
── .✦ Over time, I thought about renaming my OC from Sweet Home, but the name Momoka stuck too strongly. To this day, though, I sometimes still doubt whether I chose the right one.

Kagetsu Kuronome/Sakuragi, also known as “Black Needle” (mother)
Himari Sakuragi (father)
Hikaru Sakuragi (cousin)
Momo Kuronome/Sakuragi (aunt)
──── ୨୧ ────
Kagetsu Kuronome (Mother):
For Momoka’s mother, I was inspired by Tsunade Senju (which I think is pretty fitting—Sakura and Tsunade are often compared to mother and daughter, so I thought it worked nicely).
Kagetsu is not evil; she deeply loves Momoka. But she trained her harshly, and now she tortures herself with the thought that she might have ruined her daughter.
She’s usually calm, sometimes even cold, but her temper is terrifying. The Kuronome clan is known for immense physical strength—her punches could demolish buildings (up to three at once). Momoka inherited this raw power, but since she isn’t pure-blooded, her mother trained her even harder.
Kagetsu doesn’t always keep a “cold” face; she’s far more emotional when it comes to her daughter or family.
──── ୨୧ ────
Himari Sakuragi (Father):
A natural leader with a strong backbone. Outwardly, he shows little emotion, unlike his wife. But deep down, he’s secretly afraid of Kagetsu’s temper (not that he’d ever admit it).
He treasures Momoka and doesn’t want her harmed, though he was only truly present in her early childhood.
──── ୨୧ ────
Hikaru Sakuragi (Cousin):
Brave, reliable, and mature. He looks up to his paternal grandfather and dreams of becoming a dependable leader like him.
Hikaru loves Momoka deeply. As children, they spent a lot of time together, but as they grew older, they saw each other less often—which they both regret. Thanks to their close bond, Momoka developed a principle: she could never kill someone who has a sibling they are deeply connected to.
──── ୨୧ ────
Momo Kuronome/Sakuragi (Aunt):
Mother of Hikaru and sister of Kagetsu. She’s a brilliant doctor who taught Momoka everything about medicine. Unlike Kagetsu, Momo is gentle, kind, and nurturing. She rejects aggression and wanted to raise her son as a gentleman—and her niece as the greatest doctor anyone could find.
──── ୨୧ ────
Personality:
Momoka is optimistic, responsible, clever, and enjoys teasing people from time to time. She always tries to be useful and values honesty and order. However, she can be impatient and hot-tempered—especially when it comes to her friends. She loves working with lists and plans, which help her stay organized.
When she first arrived, some Hashira (like Obanai Iguro) dismissed her as a spoiled, lovestruck girl. They couldn’t understand why she became a Pillar at just 14 (before Muichiro even appeared in the story). But over time, her strength was recognized and respected.
Around Giyuu, her behavior changes completely: her voice softens, her eyes shine, and she becomes unusually affectionate—almost losing her composure.
She dislikes “foolish” people like Zenitsu. Still, that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t protect him—on the contrary, she worries about him since she doesn’t see him as capable of defending himself.
Momoka admires kind, intelligent people, especially those who protect their loved ones. For her, family is everything—and in return, she’ll protect you just as fiercely.

Biography:
The Sakuragi clan lived in the west, in a hidden village surrounded by flower fields—especially cherry blossoms. Shinobu had once stumbled upon a book that mentioned this place.
Momoka grew up happy. Her mother, though feared as a deadly poison user, was loving and fiercely protective of her daughter. When Momoka turned twelve, Kagetsu began training her in demon slaying. It was a turning point—the end of childhood dreams and the start of harsh reality. At first, Momoka hated the bloodshed, poisons, and calloused hands. But eventually, she grew used to it—and even came to enjoy it. Kagetsu encouraged her curiosity every step of the way.
At thirteen, Momoka became fascinated with medicine. Her aunt, the clan’s chief physician, taught her anatomy, weak points, medical treatment, and even how to kill using medical knowledge. With her aunt’s guidance and her own determination, Momoka quickly became a skilled healer.
One night, Muzan’s demons attacked the clan. Kagetsu had a bad feeling beforehand and even burned many flowers, including the spider lily. The attack destroyed their village, forcing them to flee. Momoka’s family, as the head family, led the relocation.
Eventually, they encountered a Kakushi, who reported them to the Ubuyashiki estate. Kagaya Ubuyashiki personally welcomed Himari, Kagetsu, and Momoka. He offered the clan several houses, though some families had to share. Local villagers also kindly sheltered some of them.
After this tragedy, hatred for demons began to grow in Momoka’s heart. But after meeting Tanjiro, she started to rethink her feelings. Meeting Nezuko finally convinced her that not all demons are soulless monsters.

What were Kagetsu’s trainings like?
As you already know, Kagetsu is a strict, iron-willed woman—especially when it comes to training.
First, a bit more about Momoka’s childhood: she grew up sheltered, safe, and home-oriented. She wasn’t prepared for a sudden leap from a peaceful life into the harsh reality of being a demon slayer.
As a child, Momoka spent more time with her father and other relatives. In her environment, qualities like modesty, gentleness, grace, and calmness were valued in girls. But in truth, Momoka was playful, ambitious, and a bit of a troublemaker. Still, she had to fit into the mold society expected of her.
At twelve, everything changed when she came fully under her mother’s care and officially became a demon slayer trainee. From that moment, the values around her shifted: determination, courage, and confidence mattered more than grace or modesty. For Momoka, it was difficult—she was uncomfortable being her true self.
Kagetsu never spared her daughter. Since she herself worked with poisons, she expected the same of Momoka. To make her resistant, Kagetsu injected her with small doses of poison, gradually increasing the amount over time. Of course, this was brutal—no child would want to endure that.
Alongside poison training, Kagetsu heavily relied on taijutsu. Her training sessions were merciless—she struck with full force, and broken bones weren’t rare. (Not every single session was that extreme—Kagetsu wasn’t a sadist—but she was relentless nonetheless.) Once, Momoka even fractured her spine when dust blinded her mid-fight, and a blow to her solar plexus sent her collapsing.
After all this, Momoka had no time left for “soft” behavior or sweet manners.
And yet, in the end, her mother’s training forged her into a true warrior. Thanks to Kagetsu, nothing frightens Momoka anymore—not even Muzan himself.

Prototypes:
── .✦ 1. Sakura Haruno – The main inspiration. I loved Sakura, and when I joined the Demon Slayer fandom, I wanted to create someone similar to her.
── .✦ 2. Mi Amore Cadenza – I wanted Momoka to be warmer and kinder, so I drew inspiration from Cadence’s gentle and understanding nature.
── .✦ 3. Yor Forger – Protective, strong, and family-oriented. Yor treats those she loves with fierce devotion, and I wanted Momoka to have the same energy.
