Short Story - Verde

Picture the epitome of Brooklyn Italian culture and double it. At that point you may be close to understanding the authenticity of Verde, the quaintest pizzaria eatery on Irving Avenue, cadi corner to the JMZ. From its owner that's literally sleeping right now in his office, to the good fella who just popped in for a cappi and cannoli, I'm quite sure something mafia-esque is happening: a familial legacy breathing. 

Naturally, they're goods are baked in one of few coal ovens left alive in all of Brooklyn. Guests reap the benefits with every bite and greetings upon arrival: "Ciao Bella.” 

You see, they care about food and wine and espresso (to the death) along with serving incredible oysters. Its that good, I say! One bite your locked! And let’s not forget this taste bud infusion will have you pledging a lifetime of pappardelle loyalty.

For a project with Oprah Magazine I was given the task to be a Spokes Person as well as use my collages to inspire an audience of people. It was by far the most exciting thing I’ve ever done in NYC. It also let to work with Lucky Magagzine doing a tour across the country for a partnership with Macy’s.
