What was the point of solving a problem and simply erasing it like that, as if it was nothing? Class hours were certainly over; the only reason why this boy was eagerly trying to crack the mathematical equation before him was for his own gratification. It was rare to see students like him. He made no comment about it, and he waited patiently for the latter to finish cleaning up his board work so that they could converse.
“I need to get to the faculty room,” he told him, feeling a bit silly about it, but it couldn’t be helped. “I’m not here for a tour. I’ll be applying here as a new teacher.” He didn’t like the tone he used on him; it sounded almost apathetic, and just a little bit arrogant. He didn’t want any conflict, however, so once again he kept his mouth shut.
Him? A teacher? Well, he doesn't look THAT suspicious, but the way he dresses is really... Odd. Perhaps he'll be the applying to teach art? He does looked like one of those eccentric artist types. But whatever subject he'll be teaching, Mamoru will ace it. No matter how many sleeps he'll lose at night.
"... I see... Well, it's on the second floor. They're close to the vending machines." he said simply. He waited for the man's response, hoping that the other's reply will be the last of their conversation.
A Friendly Visit || diseasecalledregret
He placed the basket of fruits on the table next to E’s bed, together with other things left for the other such as flowers. Then he grabbed himself a seat. Mamoru wasn’t the social butterfly type, so of course he wouldn’t be the one to start conversations.
“…….How are the others?”
“… Everyone is doing fine…” he said, straight to the point. “Ah yes, Tanaka told me to say ‘hi’ to you through the phone yesterday…”. The raven-haired teen talked to a few of his friends yesterday and he told them that he was going to visit E, so it was obvious one or two people might want to send a message.
“…Tanaka…huh.”
At the mention of the message, E’s face softens slightly. Sometimes, he’d be lucky to get a single message from someone else, and he hadn’t heard from Tanaka or several others in a long time, so even a short greeting made him feel better.
He leans back into the bed, sighing and looking around, not sure what to do. He doesn’t say anything out of a lack of knowledge of social situations, and the room falls silent.
…Too silent for his liking, in all honesty, but he’s long used to awkward silences whenever anyone visited him.
"Yes, and he said everyone was busy these days, so they didn't quite have the time to visit you, and they're really sorry for that."
As minutes pass by, Mamoru continues thinking of how to continue this conversation. He's never really good at these kind of things. But there's really nothing else he can say that can continue the conversation, other than start talking about school lessons.

It was his first time stepping into this school, and to be honest, he had no idea where to go, or where to look. He was pretty sure he was a long way away from where he was heading, but he didn’t speak a word of Japanese, so he couldn’t ask any of the students who passed by him, either looking intimidated or impressed by his attire and his hair, which looked, perhaps, outlandish to their inexperienced eyes. He didn’t encounter any teachers, or personnel that might’ve been able to lead the way, which was odd. Or was he not looking close enough?
All of the classrooms he came to was empty. Which wasn’t surprising, since he came very late, during the dismissals. It was the time given to him by his friend, so he relented, but he didn’t expect the school to be this big, nor the faculty room to be so difficult to find. Just because he had been to this country before (it was his second time) meant that he knew how to navigate every nook and cranny of each building he would enter. If anything, he actually had no sense of direction at all.
To his relief, there was one open classroom with somebody still in it. He appeared to be a student, still writing on the chalkboard and answering a complicated math problem, even though class hours were supposed to be over. He looks smart, Garry concluded as he knocked on the door, gingerly, and raised his voice to speak. He might understand me.
“Excuse me? Can I have a moment, please?”
Equations before associations, that's what he chose. He heard the other called out, stating what he needed. It took him a minute to finally finished the equation, after that, he turned around, to find a rather strange-looking older man... The other looked like he wasn't from around here at all. Ah, no matter. He should just really end this quickly and head home.
"Just a moment," he said as he started erasing the finally solved problem on the blackboard. He felt so proud after a job well done. After that, he made his way to the other silently.
"... So, what is it that you need? ... If you want a tour of the school, please wait until next spring like the other grown-ups, sir" he stated simply.

E turns to look sideways at the door when he hears the sound of it opening, and spots Mamoru standing on the other side. The black-haired boy didn’t seem to have any textbooks with him for once, surprising E slightly.
“…Morning…”
As usual, E is tired, and sits up higher in his hospital bed while he waits for Mamoru. He’s not sure what to talk about, considering Mamoru’s personality, and he can feel the air grow thick with silence. He hasn’t been visited by anyone in a while, so in all reality, he’s out of touch with the outside world.
After another few seconds of silence, E opens his mouth to speak again.
“…….How are the others?”
He placed the basket of fruits on the table next to E's bed, together with other things left for the other such as flowers. Then he grabbed himself a seat. Mamoru wasn't the social butterfly type, so of course he wouldn't be the one to start conversations.

Now how long has it been since he last visited E? ... It's been quite a while that's for sure. Perhaps 2 weeks. Mamoru was just busy with his usual thing... Studying. It was a holiday today, so it was the perfect chance to visit him after quite the long time. On the way there, with a basket of fruits in hand, he wondered if the others have visited him yet recently...
The ravenette didn't bring any books today, he figured that both he and E should just relax for today. Though, he's still uncertain what kind of topic should they discuss during his visit. Well, he'll just have to wait and see.
He checked the reception desk, and glad to find out that E's room haven't changed. He took his time going there. The nurse accompanied him and then proceeded to open the door for him.
"Good morning, E" he said, with his tone cold and flat as usual.
