āMmā¦yeah, a story about the outside world would be nice, I guess.ā E replies shortly, shuffling the blanket on top of him to rest in a more comfortable position. Itās cramped in the bed, really, and wires lying everywhere means he canāt easily roll over to his side, only making him more uncomfortable. Heās long gotten used to it, though.
E doesnāt know what kind of stories he likes, actually. Partially because he rarely reads anything, only textbooks and notes his friends bring from school, but he supposes heād prefer something interesting. Something where the hero is capable of exploring and making his own choices.
āWhatever works, I guess. What kind of story do you want to tell?ā
āEh~ What do you want to know again?ā She asked, tilting her head. Thereās a lot of stories she could tell about the outside world, since out there wasārather weird and colorful. āGood thing Summer is still long.ā She grinned.
āDo youāreally never go outside?ā She asked, feeling a bit sad. She always went outsideāso she rarely went home except when night. She always feel.. Trapped, in her home. She couldnāt understand. āYou really are awesome.ā She finally said, before giggled softly.
"Anything's fine, really...anything that comes to mind is seriously fine..."
E pauses at her statement about summer. He's never really noticed the changing of the seasons, since it doesn't affect him either way.
"...Yeah, I don't really get the chance to. I'm not allowed outside as often in spring or winter, since pollen could damage my lungs and the cold is even worse...fall is sort of restricted too, for the same reason..."
He doesn't understand what she means by that last statement. Awesome? Him? He's just a sick kid stuck in a hospital for health reasons. In his opinion, it's the furthest from awesome that he could ever get.
"...I wouldn't really call myself "awesome"...I'm pretty boring, and my life is kind of bad, too..."
