Actually it does matter. When Candice talks about how important it is to have people publicly support her and have her back it matters when her male lead REPEATEDLY chooses not to do it.

We don’t care how lame and pathetic his promotion was for this episode, at least he made an effort. At least he acknowledged the show was coming on tonight. At least he did something to remind people that they should watch. We know how TV works, it’s not going to cause some massive spike in viewers, but that’s not the point. He did something for some KF redux episode that he couldn’t do for a WA-heavy episode that featured a cool villain that was played by an actor that was genuinely excited about working with him. That’s just shitty no matter how you slice it.

And before the “but he does stuff behind the scenes’ crowd shows up to go off on us for being mean let’s keep it 100. If Grant did ANYTHING in the form of supporting Candice publicly people would be all over and praising him for it. So if you can pay attention to that and make a big deal because supposedly THAT matters why suddenly is it not that big of a deal when he doesn’t do it?

I hope the anons still attempting to defend Gust*n realize that if people can consistently predict what he's going to do it means that none of it is random or based on his moods, the way they keep claiming. It means that everything he's done is calculated & planned. He intended to not post a pic with JPK and Candice. Deliberately avoided celebrating Patton and made sure to not promote or support the WA episode. This also means that he just made sure to show public support for KF instead of CP...

You’re right, he is predictable. Painfully so. On top of that he’s calculating, manipulative, and cares too much about what people think/say about him. So the idea that his social media activity is spontaneous or without an agenda is a bit ridiculous and naïve.

I think him supporting Candice has gone past La. honestly he knows the shit Candice gets and he knows how much people goin with her personal life and she doesn’t show it. He wants to avoid that so if that means not supporting on Candice so be it. Mans only looking out for himself and that shouts white privilege

At the end of the day, that is what is irritating. If we can see the hate Candice gets and we can hear her talk about how much support means to her there is no way in hell that Grant is unaware.

I love that C added "to those who have had my back". It's so clear that support means so much to her. G may be fantastic to her behind the scenes, but public support is crucial. He's nice to her until it affects HIM. You aren't a good guy if you're only nice to people in private but ignore them publicly because it'd be a bad look for YOU.

To all the trolls out there saying stuff about CP not needing ppl in her cast to speak. Listen to that podcast, she talks about colleagues using their privilege to be vocal and stand up for what is right. Yes it shouldn’t have to be done but you can’t tell me it wouldn’t be appreciated.

Nobody likes fighting a battle alone and Candice has made it more than abundantly clear how much vocal and public support means to her. So at this point anybody clinging to the idea that she’s just fine without is not only ignoring what she’s saying but they’re just hanging on to it in order to defend the ones around her who aren’t giving that support.
