Was it because of a butchered Mission? No way; itâs a simple mission and she (as a Support) made sure there was no hitch. Is it because she did not got to go with Master to the latest mission? No way; she doesnât seem to be at least hissy about it judging but her pleasant displacement (and knowing how she is as open as a book when it comes to emotions, itâs not most likely she was hiding it TOO well).
The Red Archer wasnât around, though, so she might as well call in kitchen duty today.
Just so happens that she was already on her fourth dish (âFourthâ is an understatement after another Servant requested her to make one of the dish she finished making prior since they ate it all) when she heard someone and was about to greet her Master with a âgo wash your hands and grab a plateâ when she heard something that she never- not even in the span of her lifetime- heard before.
Or⊠at least, something that she is fully aware will never hear to her directly in a million years. At least, if ever sheâll still be alive and all.
For a moment, her expression was unreadable (well, not really; more like a mixed of shocked and mildly conflicted), caramel eyes quickly darted towards the young female in a quiet stare for roughly a few seconds.
âI mean⊠M-Master~! Honestly now, be a bit more polite to your elders lest you get a scolding from them and think youâre not raised properly. Not to mention other Servants will not tolerate such brash behavior~!â
âWellâŠ. I mean, I donât suppose mind being called a mother, heh, I suppose I can give you a third helping for that.â
The feeling of panic rising in her only heightened at the expression on Riderâs face, and it didnât go away when the Servant finally spoke. Nervous laughter bubbled up as she rubbed the back of her neck.Â
âY-yes, my bad. It was an accident,â she stammered, bowing her head repeatedly as she apologized. âIâm just...missing home, I guess, and a lot of things remind me of home..s-so it just slipped..âÂ
Well, she couldnât deny Rider was very motherly. It was comforting, in all honestly. And if she was being honest, Minhee thought she was very similar to her mother. That was why it had slipped out a lot easier, or so she assumed anyway. Still, it felt a bit like accidentally calling a teacher âmomâ when you were younger..
She was right though. Other Servants definitely wouldnât accept something like that. Though before she could open her mouth to say she would do her best to make sure it didnât happen again, it seemed like Rider was..pleased? She hoped she wasnât misinterpreting that, at least.
The smallest of smiles tugged at the Masterâs face as she straightened, though still feeling a bit sheepish. âYour cooking is amazing, so I will gratefully appreciate it.âÂ
So obediently, like a good child, she made sure her hands were clean and grabbed a plate.
