GHILUZ  KHUZDINHAZ;                   { day belonging to the dwarrowdam }

As they are hardly mentioned in canon, it is all the more enjoyable to have them on tumblr.

Our dear female dwarves - whether they are OCs, canon/semi-canon, or genderbent characters - may be few in numbers but they’re fighters; all of them but we appreciate them all the more for it.  

What is this about?

The aim is to provide one day (22 September) on which everyone who so wishes can express their love for dwarrowdams in both canon material and the Tolkien RP community on tumblr. Dwarrowdam Day is created as an out-of-character event which can/should be celebrated in-character.

What can we expect?

There will be promos and memes going around; dwarrowdams are furthermore encouraged to post starters specifically trimmed for this day (e.g. festivities to celebrate Dwarrowdam Day in a Dwarven community). Follow Friday posts: Dwarrowdam Day edition are also encouraged, as are graphics.

How can we contribute?

By posting any of the above mentioned, and by any action that you see fit to convey your appreciation of female dwarves.

Also make sure to be tracking the tag ‘ghiluz khuzdinhaz' (special thanks to khuzdul4u who helped with the translation!) and make sure to use it when you post something DD-Day related; this way, we can all keep track of all the activities going on, and participate in them.
