violent crimes in flint
It seems hard to research about my topic, but it's one that seems to fit with my city. I've found several sources that are useful and am trying to figure out how to put them in the perfect spots of my paper. Research papers are not my strong suit for sure, but hopefully this one comes together.
Home town- Flint
Flint is the fourth largest city in Michigan. It was founded in 1819 and incorporated in 1855. Flint became a huge part of the automobile industry around the 1950s and it's landscape and culture have grown around it. In downtown Flint there is a farmers market that brings in crowds for fresh foods, including myself. Just recently a piece of the city's history was brought down. The Genesee Towers were taken down about a month ago because they were old and unstable. Every year there is also a huge car show called "Back to the Bricks." This brings huge crowds and last for several days. On the downside, Flint has been the number one crime per capita city in the nation two years and counting. But our city takes pride in the good things we do and we come together when needed. It's hard to explain everything about Flint, but those are some interesting details about it.
