Having moved to Keanu island to be with his brother, Leo, Corrin decided to make himself more familiar with the island, as it appeared he would be here for the foreseeable future. Having already visited the library on this island ( Which he learned, the hard way, was not in fact a traditional library, and contained many inappropriate delusional scenarios thought up by people with overactive imaginations ) the next location which picked at his interest was the museum.
Going into the building, Corrin was fearful of what it might contain, as the library was not what it had claimed to be. Yet, the king was pleasantly surprised to find that it truly was a museum, even if it contained only different types of rock and other natural items. They were all preserved in such an interesting way, and there seemed to be a reason for each of them being in there. Corrin was too fascinated to question it, and set off to learn the history of rocks!
Sometime later, as he walked down a corridor leading to the next room, he noticed a peculiar mirror, which he just had to stop and look at… The armour was, undeniably, his, there was no way anyone else could have armour like this, and yet, this could not be him, surely. Raising a hand to his hair, he studied how it appeared in this reflection: much longer… When had he become so… Feminine suddenly?
He stood there for a few moments, moving his hand around, trying to notice anything different in this mirror, but it was perfectly mirrored… What magic was this? How was it reflecting his appearance as female?
– AH! That was it, there was a flaw. The Yato! Reaching for the blade, he draws the Omega Yato, which appears completely different within the mirror… This couldn’t be a mirror… Yet, this was impossible…
“ There’s no way… “
He speaks, at the same time as the female imposter, studying her appearance… This wasn’t the first time he’d seen magic be used to make someone appear as another, after all, Iago had done exactly this with Izana.
“ Who are you? “
Once again, they appear to speak at the same time… He didn’t like this, how was it that an imposter was able to predict his moves so well? How they could appear to be the same person.
“ At the same time, speak your name. “
He nods, speaking in time with her once again. No one outside the Kingdom of Valla knew of it’s existence, so the only way to determine who this really was to test how much they knew. It wasn’t as though there were too many people in the Kingdom for this to be impossible to determine. He would introduce himself as a King, and if she mirrored it using the title Queen, then they surely would be someone who he knew.
“ My name is Corrin, the King of Valla. “
“ My name is Corrin, Princess of Nohr. --”
Throughout this whole ordeal the two had mimicked one another. It was actually quite amusing, how alike they seemed to be both body and soul. Their faces were one in the same, yet obvious bodily differences queued the brain’s thought process on pointing out that this was not the same as a mirror. No, in fact it was not a mirror at all that had been between the two of them but merely a wooden frame depicting a mirror. How... strange.
First, their swords were tell-tale signs of how they could not be the same. And then, the differences of titles had Corrin’s jaw agape in awe. She was not a Queen, and she would never become one unless Xander and Camilla were to die.. ...What a vague feeling of envy she had over the other.
“ A King you say? ...And.. of Valla? You mean.. where Azura is from? “
