not to doxx myself but the situation in my country is getting pretty dire.    our eastern border has been at war since 2014,   and now we’re facing the possibility of a full-scale militarised invasion by russian forces.    it’s not a certainty yet,   as we’re still trying to pursue further negotiations and find a way out,   so i’m holding onto hope.    please keep us in your thoughts,   and please read up on the conflict in ukraine   —   the lack of international awareness is fucking appalling

so it’s official.    we’re at risk.    the russian army is conducting military operations,   and i woke up to the news of explosions in several cities all over the country    (   including the capital,   where i live.   )    here’s a google doc detailing how you can help us,   here’s a carrd,   and here’s a reliable donation fund.    i implore every single one of you to do your part,   because ukrainian lives are at stake

the person who made the donate post for Jewish communities in Ukraine found out its actually dedicated to Israel. hold off on donating to organizations. wait to hear directly from citizens and research before sending money anywhere. unfortunately, orgs with ulterior motives often jump to try to get money in these situations before the real communities in need have a chance to organize crowd funding.

This is terrifying.   The news are full of it here in Germany since days now, so please forgive me for not posting lots about it on dumblr too.   But there’s a donations post that apparently contains some links to n*zi organizations (this one).    Be mindful. Ukraine has a fairly vibrant Jewish community and WUPJ has set up a fund to be spent on individuals and communities to ensure their safety and well-being.

  With war always comes a rise in antisemitism.
