Feeling restless this week, so instead of finishing the perpetual task list, I set up a vat of #indigo, got my #shibori on and dyed myself silly. A whole new set of linen napkins, a few towels and a sarong!! And even better, a little peace. #bluestuff #textiles #doesanyoneneednapkins

Hand lettering with brushes, both watercolor and brush pens. Super class with #amytangerine..it went by so fast! also, amazing swag bags, including free pens from #tombow, whose #fudenosuke pen is one of my all time favs for practicing kana writing with fancy strokes. sigh...#ilovepens #craftcation17

Block printing on fabrics, with Sarah G of #makermaker. Forgot how therapeutic chipping away at those blocks can be! We were told 'no blood', but then given x-acto knives, so I thought red was a safe ink color for myself. Who am I kidding? I almost always go with red!!! #blockprinting #flowers #craftcation17

I found a taperoll of #ledlights in the cabinet the other day, and I suddenly remembered buying them ages ago after coveting the lighting job in a closet full of crazy (yes it's you @raja5aurus). Throwing together a last minute meet & greet card for #craftcation17 next week. This tiny claybord #mixedmedia piece originally was a throwaway board to use up extra paint, and then got some #decoupage when I was ripping up a book of French poetry. However it evolved, I love having it on my desk. Sometimes I forget that I am rarely ever content with my "grand plans", and the things I love best seem to just bubble up like they were always there in the first place.
