born & raised in new york city, grayson’s first word was practically gucci ( and heard only by the two nannies, his mother busy having an affair & his dad was at work ). he was put into the finest schools, with the weightiest expectations placed on him and his future. he was the youngest ( younger than his twin sister even by two minutes and thirty four seconds ) so less was expected of him than his older brothers, but still, the weight was too much.
by sixteen he was rebelling, experimenting with drugs ( smoking weed, trying mdma, lsd, cocaine, anything to give him a sense of freedom -- something he couldn’t get in his family life ), staying out past curfew, spending obscene amounts of money at clubs he used fake ids and crisp 100′s to get into. he was dating the perfect girl ( someone his parents loved, thought would be good for him, expected him to marry ) & grayson being grayson he cheated on her. she eventually found out and they stayed together until eighteen for appearances ( he was afraid to let down his parents and have his money ripped away ).
he had no desire to work or take over his father’s company ( that would go to one of his older brothers ). instead, he skipped out on university and backpacked across europe and asia for the next two years. he read poems in italy, drank wine in france, took shrooms in thailand and had sex with strangers in amsterdam ( basically lived his life to the fullest the way he wanted to ). by 21 he was living in la doing nothing & everything. he was notorious in the tabloids for his scandals ( “grayson hitchens, son of media mogul, is on a path to destruction” “seen with mysterious white powder” “another girl for grayson?” ).
now he’s 24 and his father insisted he move back to new york to get his life together. so far he’s made whatever money didn’t come from his parents by doing club openings, etc ( gets paid a lot for that ). but his dad’s insisting he take on a role in the family business. he’s against this and is rebelling to try and get out of it.
