“I can guarantee you I wasn’t trying to grab your bag.” Her green eyes moved to the younger girl’s bag as she sighed “I have plenty of better bags at my closet, dear.”

Bea took another bite from the cookie and smiled at the other “I guess so, I don’t tend to hang out with many elderly people, unfortunately. I haven’t received a gift from an elderly lady in quite some time.”

Lorna smiled.”Hey we have the same green color hair” Lorna laughed looking at the girl. “Anyway I’m Lorna,nice too meet you” she said offering her hand for her to shake it and gave the girl a smile.

Bea smiled at the younger girls comment, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ears, “It seems so, it looks great on you.” she winked at the other, taking their hand and shaking it, “Pleasure, Lorna. I’m Beatriz.”

Lorna was distracted and looking a little bit lost. She was lost in her mind that she even saw that someone was coming in her direction. She bumped in the person. “Oh God I’m sorry.I didn’t mean to bump into you I was lost and distracted. Sorry” she said and looked at the person a little bit embarrassed.

Beatriz waved her hand dismissively “That’s fine, I wasn’t paying attention either.” she eyed the other a smirk finding its way to her lips as she pocketed the phone she was messing it before hand.

“Yes, Ma’am. Yes, the same Clark Kent from Metropolis. No, really, it wasn’t a problem. I didn’t mind helping you with your groceries. You really didn’t need to bake cookies especially for me.” Clark gave a smile and laughed gently. “Thank you, though. I hope you enjoy my articles in the Sentinel as well as you did the ones in the Daily Planet.” He said before giving the elderly woman another smile and stepping back out onto the sidewalk and heading down the road.

Clark looked down at the small Tupperware container and the chocolate chip cookies inside, smiling and shaking his head some. Some people were just too kind. The man popped open the lid and took one of the treats from within, sticking it in his mouth and breaking off a bite. The cookie was still warm and the sweet flavor reminded him of the baked treats Martha would give him growing up on the farm, usually when Jonathan wasn’t looking and he was supposed to have been helping with the chores. Offering the open tub to someone walking up nearby, he gave them a grin. “Cookie? Courtesy of a sweet elderly woman who wouldn’t take no for an answer.” He chuckled.

Bea stopped and looked over at the man, a smile gracing her features at the offer “How could I say no, if it’s from a sweet elderly woman?” she chuckled lightly and took one of the cookies from the little container he was holding, taking a small bite out of it “Thanks.” she smirked at the other and threw a wink his way.
