The absolutely true story of the yiling patriarch: a manifesto in many parts

Wei Wuxian’s hand jolts, spilling a drop of wine onto the tabletop. “Love?” he croaks, then clears his throat and tries again. “Lan Zh- uh, Hanguang-jun, in love?”

“Have you not heard the story?” the other young woman asks, looking pitying. “You must, it is a truly heartrending tale of star-crossed romance and Mutual pining - go to any storyhouse in town, everyone has been requesting a reading of this book.”

“There’s a book?” Wei Wuxian says blankly.

In which the junior disciples (namely, Lan Jingyi, Ouyang Zizhen, and a reluctant Lan Sizhui) turn to RPF in an attempt to rehabilitate Wei Wuxian’s reputation so that he and Hanguang-jun can get together and get married and live happily ever after. It’s … surprisingly effective.

Keep it Steady, Eddie

Eddie Munson doesn’t mind working at the Family Video Store. It’s a nice sense of normalcy (not to mention money) and he gets to see Robin more because of it. However, between working together and sharing the same best friend, he’s also been seeing a lot more of Steve Harrington. He wants nothing more than to enjoy mindless fun with his friends now that everything with Vecna is over, but Eddie’s finding it hard to move on from what happened. Even if the strangest thing in his life right now was simply the fact he and Steve Harrington might actually be friends.

In the summer before his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry is drawn to a room in Grimmauld Place. Like the Gryffindor he is, he enters the room without fear. The room is a library, and Harry is surprised to find that he’s eager to learn. 

Then he gets the bad news: he’s been accidentally expelled from Hogwarts and needs to be sorted again. Everyone is confident that he’ll go straight back to Gryffindor, but with what he’s been learning, Harry’s not so sure.

Sam and Jess are getting married and Dean couldn't be happier for them. Honestly, they’re kind of disgustingly perfect for each other and Dean’s pretty damn excited about staying with them the week before the wedding. He’s Sam’s best man, of course, and he doesn’t eve mind that Jess has her own best man to share in all the organizational duties. The more the merrier, right?

Except Dean must have done something to epically piss off the universe because Jess’s best man just happens to be Castiel friggin’ Novak. He’s got even hotter since High School, but apparently no friendlier and if Cas wants to spend the week pretending like they’ve never met before? Fine. Two can play at that game.

Five years after the summer Alberto Scorfano met his two best friends, he’s proud to say he’s already well-versed in how to human. Sailing a boat? Check. Handling harbour market sales? Check. Using his sea monster form to help Signora Colombo collect the best barnacles? Check. Other knowledge has eluded him, though - for example, the appropriate name for the way his heart races every time Luca calls him “caro”.

When the summer of 1968 arrives to Porto Rosso, and Giulia and Luca return from Geneva with troublesome news, Alberto wishes things would stay as they were in 1963. But as he and Luca help Giulia avoid the responsibilities her mother wants to force on her, and spend their nights stargazing together like they used to, he starts to wonder wether sometimes changes can be the start of something better.

Luca and Alberto eventually get together, after a LOT of mutual pining and dorkish, adorable cuteness + Giulia is the best adoptive sis ever + no unnecessary Luca/Giulia drama! Come for the Lucalberto, and stay for the Italian banter.

Removal of the maimed feathers to allow growth of healthy ones. Otherwise, they’re left to fall out alone.” He tilted his head towards the nightstand. “As you see.”

Dean stared at him. “So... that’s why I can’t help?” he said slowly. “Cause I can’t, y’know... see ‘em? Or touch ‘em?”

“Yes,” Cas said, slightly too quickly, and Dean snorted.

“You’re still a shitty liar, Cas,” he informed him. “What ain’t you tellin’ me?”

It’s 1995, and Castiel’s high school years are destined to be difficult: home-schooled until eighth grade, he is awkward, shy, and socially inept. Things only get worse in his junior year the he excels in home economics class, leading the captain of the baseball team, Alastair, to start taunting him for being gay.

The new student Dean Winchester arrives at Flour Bluff High School, sharing many of Castiel’s classes. Castiel has seen his type before -- handsome, athletic, arrogant, and sure to be the most popular kid in school. But Castiel eventually learns that he and Dean have more in common than he thought, and they form an unlikely friendship.

The merging of prominent bloodlines is always a grand occurrence, but breeding pedigree hunter families like Winchester and Harvelle is something to be rejoiced. It is also something to be meticulously planned, which thankfully the Host is very good at.

Or, the romantic comedy where Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle are destined to get married, Catsiel is given the task of playing matchmaker and fails terribly, the entire Heavenly Host becomes a sitcom audience, God warns against male pregnancy, and Jimmy Novak is incredibly unimpressed with angels in general.
