Damn it Dark Star, Don’t Ruin This.
Fawful wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It had been an early morning, surprisingly enough, since it was a day off. He had settled in to do some early morning reading before going through his normal routine, when he felt something… off. The Dark Star, or at least what had remained, was… tugging, at the corner of his mind. He wasn’t sure why until he felt it; a familiar, but somewhat different magical signature in the air, as if they were casting a spell.
In his confusion, as he felt the signature begin to disappear, he had scooped up his bag from next to his reading spot, the teleportation spell already almost complete, when something changed. His cadence was knocked off balance as the Dark Star finished the spell, with bits he hadn’t heard before, and he was thrown through with the spell, likey after the signature. Just when he thought he had a hold of the damn thing.
When he landed, multiple curses were already being spat out against the Dark Star, all of which were fairly accurate descriptors of it’s behavior right now.
When the small sorceress was of the mind that the day was going to be uneventful, just her on her own, waiting for the gloominess of her situation to pass, when she heard someone collide against the cold ground. She involuntarily let out a yelp, hiding behind the stone slab in front of her bookshelf.
She could feel a new presence, and it intimidated her. She was only familiar with one individual, and she ended up summoning him on accident, so for someone to suddenly appear startled her. What really scared her was the fact that this new person was swearing towards something unseen, his curses echoing across the cavern. This new voice seemed a lot more aggressive, which she not only didn’t know how to handle, but didn’t approve of.
Nervously, she brought her body somewhat upwards, peering over to whoever ended up in her stone shelter, her face mostly unseen due to her hood and black hair. His skin was green, something she had come to associate with Beankind, but he was much taller. He looked a lot like her future friend, but he also was distinctly different.
