He nodded again, but found no words to reply. It was something he just didn’t know how to deal with. There was no possible way to tell his brother what happened without him becoming angry. He just knew it and he understood it. Even though it was not typical for Bolin, thoughts like we just have to keep it a secret crossed his mind. He made a weird face, shocked by his own idea. “I will talk to Chen then…” he mumbled restrained and escaped her eye.

“So, you will talk to Chen, and what about Mako? We can’t just leave it like this Bolin.”She stated and then crossed her arms. “I mean, so then, what do you want to do in the meanwhile. It wouldn’t be a great idea for us to start something without making sure its cleared with Mako as, well as Chen. What are your thoughts on this Bolin and what do you feel and think would be best?”

“I- I don’t know… I mean seriously. I have not the slightest clue.” he sighed and looked into her blue eyes again, trying to read her mind. “What about you? What do you think?”

Her blue eyes widened, “Me? Why are you asking me? What do think is the right thing to do, Bolin? I mean, so we have these feelings for each other, but everything else is complicated. Your brother being a factor in this and you said you want to clear the air with Chen, so where does that leave you and me in all of this?”

“I really don’t know okay? I can’t think straight because all I can think about is what happened a few seconds ago, and what’s happening now!” he admitted and blushed a bit. “I… uhm, do you even want me to talk to Mako? Or maybe you want to just… forget about it?” there was a catch in his voice but he smiled slightly. “I just want you to be happy, and if that means that I should leave you alone… then I can… sometime… get along with this.” even though she just told him she felt something for him, he was not quite sure what it was that she wanted. And this made him feel silly. His green eyes met hers.

Her heart skipped a beat, at the mention of their kiss and how he seemed so taken with her, a faint blush, tinting her cheeks a pink color, “Its okay, but maybe you should go talk to him. He’s your brother and all.” She smiled and placed her hand on his shoulder for reassurance, “Thank you Bolin, but I want you to be happy. You deserve that. You are amazing and sometimes I don’t think you realize that.” It warmed her heart about his feelings for her and that he respected everything about her. She found his green eyes gazing upon her own azure ones in wonder, and could see how much he cared for her, making the butterflies in her stomach flutter.

He laughed lightly and nodded. "I will talk to him." he then said, sounding confident. Her compliments made him smile and he felt the need to just hug her. But he hadn't the courage too, now that everything was kinda calm.

But to be perfectly honest, he was too happy to think about it now. It probably was too much at the same time. “Well… it’s not like Chen and me are a couple…” he mumbled. What else could he say? He didn’t know what he would tell her, but if Korra wanted to he definitely would speak to her. And about Mako… well, that was a bit more complicated.

He seemed to agree about not wanting to hurt everyone else, but clarified to her about his feelings for Chen, were very platonic and that it didn’t go past there. She noticed how happy he was being in her presence and the fact that her feelings matched his own made everything seem minimal and that they can get through whatever it was together. “Bolin, that would be a great idea that you need to let Chen know and be hones about it. But what about Mako, this isn’t going to sit well with him. You know with everything.”

I just don’t know about Mako and Chen but… I believe we can work this out somehow.” he shrugged his shoulders and blushed again, feeling weird. Everything felt like a dream, how could he think about possible consequences concerning Mako and Chen?

She looked at him, awaiting for an answer, any answer that would making everything about them the more real. It was a wonder, how he still felt this way about her all this time, especially given the circumstances that she had dated his brother. She looked directly at him, trying get a read, or any indication, of what decision he wanted to do with their feelings or with them in general. It was confusing to say the least, all these feelings. She couldn’t help the guilt that still lingered nearby, afraid of hurting everyone they cared for. She placed a hand on his shoulder, patting him. ”Its okay, Bolin, you don’t have to give an answer right now. I understand, everything is really confusing and complicated. We don’t have to be together right now, if you don’t want to? I just had to let you know what I felt. It’s what you wanted to know right?”

He slowly shook his head, looking hurt. His eyes stared at the ground. “I don’t want to hurt them too… but I don’t want to forget this. I probably can’t even forget this.” he took a deep breath, looking into her eyes again. “Even if I don’t know how… I- I really want to be with you.” the boy confessed, looking shy yet sure.

Her heart skipped a beat, hearing him reconfirm his feelings for her. It moved her to pieces hearing him say that he didn’t want to forget them or this moment. It was something different, but a good different. She saw his marvelous green eyes, meet her azure ones confidently in speaking the truth. He wanted to be with her despite the circumstances around them. She smiled warmly at him, “I would love to be with you too Bolin, but what about your brother and Chen? How do we go about this without hurting everyone in the process?”

His hands were still wrapped around her waist. Closing his eyes for a second he shrugged his shoulders. He felt totally happy, and confused, and fulfilled and desperate. Everything together making a weird mix that swirled around his heart. “You kissed me back, so why don’t you tell me?” he asked and opened his eyes again. Against his expectations his voice was calm.

She looked at him for answers, not really knowing what he wanted to do with these feelings. Clearly, he felt strongly for her. It was said in that kiss and this time there was no alcohol involved. Just Korra and Bolin being real with each other. ” I did kiss you back.” She shyly smiled at him. “Like I said, I feel something for you, but what about everyone else? Your brother? Chen?”

He listened to her words but they just made him angry somehow. She was claiming to like him but still she always found some disadvantage. Maybe he imagined everything to easy and effortless but that’s how it felt at the moment. The only girl he wanted just told him she really liked him! Taking a deep breath he tried to explain the thoughts flowing through his mind.

“Do you ever listen to me Korra? I already told you that I’m not sure if I like Chen. We were dating a few times but that’s all!” His voice was really energetic and he was definitely speaking louder this time, almost as if he wanted to provoke an argument. He pulled her hand off his shoulder firmly, not letting her wrist escape his hand. How else could he make her understand that everything he needed to be happy was her?! “That’s nothing in comparison to how I felt, no how i still feel about you!” he continued and his grip got a bit tighter. “I didn’t doubt for a single minute that you” the boy stopped talking for a split second. “…dammit!” he just pulled her closer, kissing her lips, silently explaining everything she had to know.

Surprised, she watched as his mood shifted from being frustrated to angry after she let out what she felt for him. He began raising his voice, wanting desperately to reach her and let her know the entire truth about his feelings. Bolin, explained what he felt for Chen, was nothing in comparison to what he felt for her. She was shocked when he pulled her hand off his shoulder, but was still grasping her wrist. “Bolin, stop, what—wait, I—” She stated, trying to get a word in, but he was on a roll. Everything was becoming intense by the second, and it made the more sense when he impulsively pulled her close and placed his lips onto hers, kissing her, wanting her to feel all the pent up emotions, he had been harboring all this time. She found herself kissing him back, her arms wrapping him, returning the favor, but also wanting him to know her feelings as well. Needing to catch her breath, she pulled back, her forehead resting onto his, azure eyes meeting his green ones. “You-you kissed me? Where do we go from here?” There were so many questions plaguing the back of her mind and anticipated his next move especially now that things were definitely changing.

His whole body tensed up as she laid her hand on his shoulder. This was a god damn torture. Especially now that she said she has feelings for him, even though he still doubted it. He would love to believe her but this would make everything one million times more complicated. Because even if she really felt that way about him, it wouldn’t change a thing. “Well it’s not like I’m the only one… what about Mako?” he just kept another explanation of his feelings to himself and ignored the question. The boy opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something else but he just couldn’t find the right words. It was too hard to explain his thoughts.

Everything was turning out complicated and confusing. It caught her off guard, when he mentioned Mako. There was a twinge of pain, that stung in the depths of her heart about the firebender, but they weren’t together anymore. It wasn’t that she didn’t love him anymore, it was becoming too much. They had different aspirations that were leading to very different paths and they never had time to set aside for each other. It was becoming more of a task than a relationship. A part of her would always love him, but she wasn’t so sure she was in love with him that way.

Clearly, she didn’t want to hurt anyone, which is why she had been running away from her feelings for Bolin, for sometime, especially after the night they kissed. It scared her knowing that these feelings have become something more strong then just a mere friendship. She turned to him, her eyes, clear as the ocean, piercing straight to his green ones. “You do know that Mako and I aren’t together anymore and we cleared the air that night when we talked. I know he still feels more for me, but I can’t help the way I feel. I will always love him in some way Bolin, but I’ve come to realize that I can’t run away from these feelings I have for you any longer. So, I’m just letting you know I do feel something for you. But I’m sure that you are happy with Chen and I wouldn’t want to come between your happiness for anything.” She smiled. “I rather see you happy for once. You deserve that.”

Surprised, she watched as his mood shifted from being frustrated to angry after she let out what she felt for him. He began raising his voice, wanting desperately to reach her and let her know the entire truth about his feelings. Bolin, explained what he felt for Chen, was nothing in comparison to what he felt for her. She was shocked when he pulled her hand off his shoulder, but was still grasping her wrist. “Bolin, stop, what—wait, I—” She stated, trying to get a word in, but he was on a roll. Everything was becoming intense by the second, and it made the more sense when he impulsively pulled her close and placed his lips onto hers, kissing her, wanting her to feel all the pent up emotions, he had been harboring all this time. She found herself kissing him back, her arms wrapping him, returning the favor, but also wanting him to know her feelings as well. Needing to catch her breath, she pulled back, her forehead resting onto his, azure eyes meeting his green ones. “You-you kissed me? Where do we go from here?” There were so many questions plaguing the back of her mind and anticipated his next move especially now that things were definitely changing.

His hands were still wrapped around her waist. Closing his eyes for a second he shrugged his shoulders. He felt totally happy, and confused, and fulfilled and desperate.
