Architectural salvage.... I am torn - on one hand it belongs in the buildings from whence it came... however, if we are going to lose those buildings, I'd like to know that someone is going to use it one day - it's infinitely better than the crap peddled in the big box "hardware" stores. Not cool to lie about the state of a building just to tear it down - check out (here) what they found in the "un-useable" Healy House in Minneapolis. Sadly it's not shocking as much as it is heartbreaking.
