Oh, I just had a thought! If anyone is available to help with running the blog/editing headcanon posts/queueing, please feel free to send a message! I’d prefer mutuals, but since it’s just me atm I’ll accept admins based on whether they’re active/trustworthy/seem to be good at running blogs, and have an interest in Sonic!

My headcanon about Orbot and Cubot is that Cubot loves human food and will happily eat any of it. Not just oil, not just energy batteries. Actual human food. How he can eat it and what happens to it afterwards is anyone’s guest, and Cubot doesn’t actually need to eat it to keep his functioning going, but he does it anyway simply because he finds it delicious.
Orbot can eat human food too but he actually really hates it and thus will only eat Eggmanland’s special made-for-robots stew. So in other words, that food you can find in Eggmanland isn’t actually meant for humans.

Maw has had romantic interactions with every Egg Boss, especially Axel. With some it's just a little flirtation, but with others it's laying on a vehicle in a "draw me like one of your French girls" pose as cherry blossoms float from the ceiling and Baby Got Back plays in the background.

Gerald programmed Shadow to conserve energy for the most life-threatening situations. That's why he's so pragmatic and appears not to like fun. Doing frivolous activities feels unnatural to him since it runs against his programming.

I headcanon that Tails sometimes slips up and calls Sonic "Dad" because he raised hom and Sonic doesn't bother correcting the kid because he is the closest thing to a father the kid even has and secretly has a lot of paternal pride for Tails

Sonic and Rouge are secretly dating. They started a bit after Adventure 2 while Rouge took a break from treasure hunting. This is why she calls him “Big Blue” in Chronicles and Generations; it’s her pet name for him. The only ones who know are Shadow, who can read people like open books, and Tails, who Sonic tells everything. Rouge is actually fine with Amy crushing on Sonic, since she’s young (like 12 or something) and it’s basically a celebrity crush. However, they have both agreed to keep it a secret from Knuckles, who would absolutely flip that his closest friend is dating his biggest rival.
Platonic! Shadamy headcanon: Whenever Shadow is irritated and/or frustrated he goes over to Amy’s house to vent . Amy doesn’t mind , this is partly due because every time shadow vents he has the tendency to clean her house or wash her dishes as he rants on about his day.
While I like the idea of Shadow visiting Amy’s house (:D) I think Amy would be the one venting while she did chores, tbh. Only if she were upset enough she’d do them all slap-dash, storming about, and he’d silently follow her around the house while he listened to her go on and on, setting vases back on the stand while she isn’t looking, turning the kettle off, turning pictures straight … stuff like that.
You know, I don’t like the idea that post-ShTH Shadow’s memory is just completely back to normal with no downsides whatsoever. Like sure, during the events of that game he recovered most of his important memories, but everything? I don’t think so. His brain has been injured and tampered with so much there’s no WAY it’s going to go back to working perfectly after all that.
Give me a Shadow who still struggles to remember certain incidents from his past. A Shadow who remembers, say, teaming up with Eggman on Prison Island, but not fighting the guard robot in a show of strength. Or who remembers playing tag with Maria in the halls of the ARK, but for the life of him can’t remember what her old bedroom on the station looked like.
And give me a Shadow whose current memory has glitches as well. Who some mornings - not often, but too often to be coincidence - wakes up and can’t remember a thing. His amnesia comes back in full force, and even seeing his friends sitting nearby doesn’t help - he has no idea who they are. His memories always return within a few minutes (one terrifying morning, it took over an hour), but it’s something he’ll have to live with for the rest of his life.
A Shadow who can get into loud, violent fights without a problem, taking down his enemies with ease, but when things gets quiet and he’s left to his own devices in the main GUN base he might suddenly find himself standing in an empty room unable to clearly remember how he got there besides “I walked”. Or he wakes up in a new location, and even though he knows logically that he and the rest of Team Dark traveled there together on a mission, his mind can’t quite put the pieces together, trying to insist that he must still be back at the base.
Like, he’s gonna struggle with this stuff; he hasn’t had a “normally” functioning brain since before the ARK incident 50 years ago. And it can be hard, but his friends are always there for him. They can usually tell when it’s happening, because he either gets very antisocial and unfriendly, or completely the opposite, looking for someone to help anchor himself in the present. And they’re always willing to help him when thoughts and memories get hazy and he needs help figuring out what’s going on.
Really sorry for the lack of headcanons here, I'm still really busy with school and personal projects.... I'm off today, so I'll set up a queue for the headcanons that have been submitted already!
