AKA my heaven
mctvmorph:
Cass could barely make out the woman’s voice as she walked away. The general thrum of the bar had grown as it got later and more town’s folk made their way seeking out some form of relief from the day. It still wasn’t as obnoxiously unbearable as the club tended to be, and as she began to fiddle with the darts, there wasn’t a lack of familiar faces offering to play a round or two. People who understood she was fine with the competition, but there was no chance of discussing anything personal. As the last dart found its mark, she set things down and headed to a booth for a breather.
Jae watched her game of darts from afar while sipping on her drink. She took the time to reflect and the more she thought, the more she was determined to fix whatever hodgepodge acquaintanceship this was. Once the woman's dart game was finished and moved on to a booth, again, Jae was relieved that the girl didn't leave yet and she chugged the rest of what was left of her drink before paying for their drink and tipping the bartender. She took a breath before approaching her, a small smile on her face, nervous uncertainty written all over. "Hey. Look. I'm sorry that every instance we've met so far has been... not ideal. Um, what's good to eat here? Maybe I can buy you something to start making up for what happened with your wallet." She starts, only pure sincerity coming from her. "I just really want to start over cause you really do seem pretty cool and I could really use having more familiar friendly faces around town. I don't want to be remembered just as a poor mannered thief."
cxtaliina:
The girl stood in the middle of an alleyway, looking up against the huge blank concrete wall with a bag of what seemed like spray cans dangling by her side. It had been a while since she did this and even when she had her cast removed from her hand, Catalina had to work through getting strength back in her hand because even the most menial tasks was strenuous for her.
However, now that she was standing there without a clue to what she wanted to paint. “…Well, here goes…” She grabbed a can and popped the cap open.
Not being able to sleep yet on the uncomfortable back seat of her car, she chose to tire herself by going for a nice night walk. It was just a normal walk for Jae, casually walking along rooftops and jumping from building to building, careful to not slip where there were ice and snow. She was jumping to the next roof and nailed her landing, but that wasn't what caught her attention. It was the split second vision down below her of a woman with a spray can standing before the wall of the building that she was now on. She turns back, jumping back to the building she just came from to view the wall that the girl seemed to be getting ready to paint. Then, she brushed off the snow before sitting on the side of the roof, letting her feet dangle a bit. "Hey. Hope you don't mind an audience. What are you gonna paint?" She curiously asks, their face bright and smiley as they hoped to get an amazing show.
aleksandramikhailov:
that girl definately TALKS way too much , however , she is the only one who seems not FEARS her . part of her started to think move out was a MISTAKE . maybe , she should had STAYED with her husband after all … she forced a smile to the other . ❛ i don’t . so , jae —- are always this FLIRTY ? ❜ the waiter filled her glass of wine & did the same for jae .
“Good. Don’t want you to feel awkward or uncomfortable or anything.” She’d say and takes a mozzarella stick, taking a bite of it with a satisfied smile. Jae chuckles at the outright question and simply gives a charming smirk. “Am I flirty? Is it bothering you? There’s nothing wrong with being nice.” She swiftly answers back and raises her glass towards her before taking a sip. “Hmm... I was right. Seems I can trust your taste. This is pretty good.” She comments before looking back at Aleksandra. “I can easily shoot the question back at you and ask you if you always accept drinks and company from strangers. Not that I mind. I’m happy to have you join me.”
embryxnewton:
“But why would you risk your life for fame and entertainment?” She had heard of people being sent to the hospital, and Embry just didn’t understand that at all. It was one thing to keep your audience interested but there had to be a limit. But then again, she didn’t enjoy those sort of videos she saw everytime she went on Youtube. Somehow the site recommended them to her despite her having no interest in them.
“I.. prefer sports that doesn’t require people.. coming at me with such force.” To be fair, softball had the players tagging the batter out - and if the players were bad and throwing, then one would have the softball coming at them. However, none of that sounded as lethal as people trying to attach your ankles and shins constantly to steal the ball. “Yeah.. My sister got them..” She mumbled as she slipped the headphones back on, the noise immediately died down again. “I’m sure if you asked her, she could tell you..”
"Well, I can't answer for some of those other crazies, but you don't need to worry about me. I don't do it for the fame. I do it cause it's fun, for the rush of it all. I do it for myself. And hey, as long as I'm being careful and I know my limits, that's all that really matters." Jae explains, reassuring the girl that they wouldn't put their lives in danger and be reckless haphazardly just for fame. "My fans are important to me but I wouldn't risk anything too extreme for them. If I die then who would be the one to upload and post the video?" She chuckles to show that she was clearly joking around with that remark, even if she had quite a point.
"Right. That's probably a pretty smart decision." Jae chuckles again, knowing that the norm would be to avoid injury. That would probably quite imperative. "Ah, that's cool. Your sister has great taste then." She says, giving a small smile. "Maybe you could ask her for me. Since she is your sister after all."
drjessicang:
“Oh, is that right?” Her brow arched at the boast, “I’m sure.” She smiled, “I’ll refrain from trying it out. Besides that had been on the floor, had it not? I would rather not. It’s rather cold and there’s dirt and snow, maybe in the summer.” She shook her head, “Perhaps you should go find someone else to keep you enlightened then. Unfortunately I really do decline attempting it.” Jessica also didn’t think treading snow and dirt back to the hospital was a good idea. It wasn’t that she couldn’t change, she also didn’t want the dirty shoes and clothes to be occupying her locker until she could get home.
"Totally! Or am I wrong to assume that?" She asks with a smirk and sparkle in her eye as if she was playfully daring her to disagree and blatantly say that she wasn't as great and awesome as she was claiming to be. Jae puts on a little pout to show she was clearly disappointed that the woman was declining her request to try to play with a ball. "Oh. Okay, I guess I can't force you. But fine. If I'm still around town during the summer then you be ready for me to collect on that 'maybe' and ask you again!" She says, determined to keep her word if she did get the chance to. "Someone else? Do you have to go someplace? Am I keeping you from something you gotta do? I'm sorry about that. I really didn't mean to take up your time."
rougerunt:
Sean lets out a laugh at the mental picture of what she’s describing, partially because it’s funny image in general but, mostly because that’s essentially how he spent his halloween this past year. “I reckon those would both be incredible sights and merit some form of kudos, though I’m not entirely sure I’d pay money for it,” he said, “I’ve seen quite a bit in my lifetime so I’m not easily impressed.” This was coming from the guy who was distracted by shiny objects on a dime.
Jae grinned, glad that her jokes could elicit a laugh from the man. Laughing was a good sign cause it meant that things were still going smoothly and the conversation was going in a positive direction. "Really? You think even that wouldn't be enough for some cash? Huh, people must be really picky and have high standards. Now you're making this harder than I thought." She mulls over. It wasn't like she was serious about getting money from street performance tips but it was fun trying to think about these possibilities. "Ah, so you're a hard one to please then? What kinda things have you seen? So I know what I'm dealing with and what to top."
moonchildjason:
“I guess we really won’t have to,” he said with a small smile, though if only her parents had said it, he couldn’t know for sure if she really was good or not. He would have to see her playing to know for sure, he saw a bit of it, but he would need to see more, like her playing with other people. “Not knowing how hard you kick a ball, is kind of being bad in my opinion,” he admitted, he knew how hard to throw the ball when he was younger, still did, if he didn’t know, how would he make the ball go through the hoop? He would throw it and it could end up not hitting the hoop, same with soccer players, they needed to know whether they should kick it hard or not, or how far to kick it. “Yes, I did, it’s amazing.”
"Eh, you kinda have a point. Probably pretty important to know that stuff when you're playing an actual game but when you're just a teen trying to have fun with no other cares then sometimes all that doesn't cross your mind." She says with a shrug and smile. "You can't blame kids for just being kids, you know?" She smirks and then adds, "So, are you a ball player too?" She wondered considering this person has a clear interest in sports from the conversation so far. Then, at his next words, their face brightens more. "Seriously? Wow, that's a first. I rarely meet people that went to Tim's before. Usually people I talk about it with ask what I'm talking about or just act like they know. It’s crazy how scared people can be of being wrong or looking dumb."
mctvmorph:
“Again, whatever personal hangups you’ve got are not on the bartender. You want to blow up about things you can’t control? Go find a punching a literal punching bag like most people, don’t use service industry workers as a metaphorical one,” Cass replied, feeling no sympathy for the other regardless of the implication that she may be in part to blame. At the next words she just raised an eyebrow, before shaking her head in the negative when she felt the cell phone being shoved against her hand. “Nope. Nuh-uh. Whatever underhanded, clandestine issues you’ve got going with your identity, I want no part of it,” the shifter said, before promptly turning and hopping off the bar stool, heading in the direction of the unused dart board.
"Fine. You have a point. That was pretty uncalled for." She admits that she was wrong, honestly feeling both bad but also upset that she was being chastised. It made her feel embarrassed and like she was a child who needed to be scolded and punished for her mistakes. Her brows furrowed as the phone is shoved away. "I said there were no tricks! It's my actual ID." She defends herself as the woman walks off. She watches her walk over to the dart board, relieved that she wasn't leaving the bar yet. Maybe there was a way to smooth this over and fix this big screw up of hers. She really needed to rework a whole different strategy if she didn't want her relationship with this woman to be something other than callous. So, she stays where she was seated and simply continues sipping her drink as she observed the woman, giving them both time to cool off.
aleksandramikhailov:
aleksandra winked at her when she said her words sounded like challenge . ❛ excuse me … ❜ she commented before leaves the table & she entering on the kitchen , to drink the rest of the medications . resting her body on the wall , watching everyone working hard the plates for her clients . the waiter came to aleksandra giving her a message that jae sent to her . she went to the room full of variant types of alcoholic drink , & choose one white wine , the one she adores .
after a few minutes she sat on jae’s table with the wine opened & the waiter brought their glasses & she poured the drink for them both . ❛ i prefer white wine . name’s aleksandra mikhailkov . ❜
Jae chuckles at the wink given before the woman took her leave, amused by the reaction that had come from her words. As she waits for her order to come, she fills the time with preoccupying herself with taking in the quaint atmosphere of the restaurant and tapping aimlessly on her phone. Thank god for games that had mindless entertainment and didn’t require wifi. She feels the presence of someone approaching her table and taking a seat, smiling at the return of the woman. “Hey,” She gives a charming smirk as she puts her phone away. “Glad to see you took my offer. I don’t have wine often but I’m sure I can trust your taste. Wow, I get a full name? Am I expected to be as formal in return?” Her last words were said in her usual playful tone. “I’m Jae.” She says, taking her glass as the appetizers arrived. “Hope you don’t mind having to watch me stuff my face. I thought the company would be nice.”
aleksandramikhailov:
❛ don’t worry , you are not making me have PROBLEMS , yet . ❜ aleksandra couldn’t concetrate in her work , with a lot of people around her . honestly ALL the things she has to check if the things were in order , she already checked . about the MENU … ❛ we could say YES . ❜ she confirmed the girl question in regards of the plate . aleksandra took the liberty to picked up a orange flask , taking a pill & swallowing them . yes , it was controlled medicine . ❛ yes . y'know what ? ! i’ll call the waiter so you take the doubts with him . ❜ suddenly she felt as if she want drink , she excuse the girl for a moment , calling the attention of her waiter & he went to her table .
“Okay, good.” Jae nods, relieved that she wasn’t causing her any trouble but then smirks, adding a joking, “You say ‘yet’ like I should take it as a challenge.” She simply playing around and being cheeky. She normally didn’t try to seek out being a nuisance. “Huh, cool.” She continues to mull over the menu, raising a brow as she catches a glance at the woman’s actions but doesn’t question it too far. “Oh, okay! I’m sure you need to get back to your work.” She smiles, not realizing that what she had asked could have been taken with great offense. Once the waiter comes, she gives her order with a bright smile. “So, I think I’m gonna go for this pasta, a side of mozzarella sticks and some ravioli. Also, can I get a bottle of whatever nice wine your boss prefers and pass on a message to her that she’s free to join me for a drink whenever she’s free. Oh, and more bread!”
embryxnewton:
“As long as your audience are enjoying it and you’re not getting hurt or anything.. There’s some entertainers who go to the extreme and you’re just like.. why?” She smiled, finding it nice for the other to have found something she’s passionate about and to be doing that as a living must feel so good. Embry hadn’t put into any thoughts about what she wanted to do in the future but she knew she wanted to find herself a job to save money up. College.. the girl gave that goal up a long time ago when it didn’t seem possible for her.
“Not really, I don’t really like the sport. I’m.. there’s softball and volleyball.. those.. I like those.” She mumbled, “Having people attack you at your shins and ankles doesn’t seem.. pleasant.” Embry bit her lip, “I.. “ Now she felt like she was going to get in trouble for not letting the other see her headphones. Slowly taking them them off, the girl winced slightly at the sudden overwhelming wave of just.. noise coming at her. She kept her head down but still brought her headphones up towards the other.
"Yup, you got that right! That's all that matters if they're enjoying it." She starts, still smiling as bright as she has been the whole time. "Though, no promises on the no getting hurt. Can never truly know about that." She smirks as she says the words like she was honestly proud of it. True, she agreed that there was no reason to put their lives in danger for others and fame. But, there were some exceptions. Like, knowing your own limits and Jae liked to think she can handle herself well. She can't judge people for going extreme considering that was what her life consisted of.
"Yeah? That's too bad. But hey, softball and volleyball are pretty cool too. They seem pretty fun and I wouldn't mind trying those out sometime." She says. Jae could consider herself a pretty big gay but softball was one of the stereotypes that she never got into. Though, she would be totally open to it. Swinging a bat seemed awesome. "They do so no pain, no gain." She chuckles. She frowns as she sees the clear hesitation and discomfort from the girl as she takes off the headphones and once they are offered to her, she takes a mental note to not take too much time with them. She studies them carefully as she held it in her hands, taking in all the cool details before trying them on. "Whoa, the noise canceling on this thing is amazing. Way better than earbuds." She takes them off and hands them back with a thankful and apologetic smile. "Thanks. Man, if I knew how cool those are then they totally would've helped me out a few years back. Maybe I'd even really like the aesthetic of them too."
mctvmorph:
Cass had been content with just going back to her beer, always one to feel much more comfortable when keeping to her own than anything else. However, the sudden outburst and the patronizing tone with which the blonde was talking to the bartender pulled a response out of the shifter. “Whoa, Captain Prick. ‘Tender’s just doing their job and following the law. Whatever complex you have associated with it is not on them.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know,” Jae says, trying brush off the subject as she waits for her drink to be ready. Once it's slid before her, she tips her head and gives a curt ‘thanks’ to the bartender then takes a sip before she brings her attention back to the girl. “Just can’t help but rub salt in the wound, especially when there's people that call me a kid sitting right there.” She says with a shrug and adds more in a low tone, under her breathe. “As well as other reasons that are best not discussed.” She looks ahead and sips her drink to divert attention to her subtly passing over her phone under the counter so the girl can see for herself. It was, in fact, Jae’s ID with all the information correct but a scrap of paper was covering up the issued and expiration dates.
mctvmorph:
Cas finally turned to face the other, a look of skepticism clear on her face. “If you’re looking to try and hustle me out of something, my wallet isn’t on me. I have a tab with the bar in exchange for a job I did for them to day,” she stated her tone very much matter-of-fact.
It seems like there was no room for playing around today. Jae frowned at the woman’s forwardness. “Look, I don’t have any tricks up my sleeve today.” She says in defense and moves her attention to the bartender on the job, asking for a rye & ginger then about to turn back to the woman when they are stopped by, “ID?”. Hearing the question that baned their existence, they groaned and begrudgingly plucked their phone out their pocket and flashed their ID, still within the see-through case. “Good? If that’s not enough proof for you then I can easily pull up my Wikipedia article too.” Call her tone sour and defensive but it was always enough to get people off her case.
aleksandramikhailov:
❛ but of COURSE ! ❜ she affirmed her question in regards of suggestions . aleksandra had a hint of what people used to eat before she bought this restaurant . the last OWNER alerted her about the menu . ❛ i’m a new owner of this place , but i’ve heard this … ❜ she pointed on the dish from the menu . ❛ pasta is delicous . if you enjoy cheese & pasta with pomodoro sauce . this … ROTOLONE . & to drink , we have the best wines that could suit perfect to your choice . uh —- they were made in Paris . but we also have other alcoholics beverages . ❜
“Cool.” Jae nods and kept that in mind, making sure to voice any thoughts and opinions that might pop up as she continued to skim the menu. “New owner, huh? That’s really cool though you sure I’m not taking your all attention away from other things you have to do? I’m sure as the owner you’d be pretty busy and don’t have time to focus on just one customer.” She says, being kind and considering. She didn’t want to take up all her time, especially if she had more responsibilities that were much more important. Her eyes follow where on the menu she pointed at and hummed, considering the option greatly. “The pasta looks real tempting. Do you guys make your own ravioli and pasta?” Not that she cared, she’d eat it as long as it was good food going down her mouth. “Also, the bread is complementary, right?”
mctvmorph:
Opting to completely ignore the manner in which she was addressed, Cass decided with a simple response to a simple question. “No, actually. I have an odd fetish that can only be satisfied by observing intoxicated burly men attempting to play darts,” she said in a flat tone.
Though it was quite clear to her that she was disinterested and sarcastic, Jae chuckled at the humor of the words and the images it gave. “Huh, that is pretty satisfying.” She agrees, mostly jokingly, with a nod and glances the room to spot the dartboard mentioned. “Never tried darts before but it seems fun. You any good? I wanted to do archery as a kid but that didn’t stick too long.” She said, simply doing what she did best. Talk.
