still thinking about trans man aradia.
like she's literally the maid, her ancestor is the handmaiden of death, there's the new reveal of the rankmaid fujoshi, she's surrounded by femenine stereotypes and typing. and yet she's also depressed, she's CONSTRAINED by many of these roles, when she dies(becoming a ghost, a permanent girlchild, never changing, stuck in that form) she becomes listless and depressed. she is obsessed with inevitability, and seems perfectly happy to fulfill certain maidly roles ("clearing the house for the master's arrival" she says about dreambubble deaths and the destruction of these consciousnesses), but at the same time it doesnt completely fulfill her, and she seeks to destroy it as much as she seeks to keep it orderly and serve it ("i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apart" she says with a deranged smile and clasping hands)
she sees the constructs around her and she wants to utterly break them! she wants to bring the whole world down! and she is maid to the timeline yes but also to the very STRUCTURE of the game and the gamemaster! and it is not a good thing to be in doc scratch's infinite view!
you could make the very real argument that fulfilling the role of "maid" is something that doesnt bring her her fullest life, that it shackles her to certain understandings of femeninity, and that by utterly breaking them apart she would become more herself!
not even to MENTION the fujoshi to transmasc pipeline. we now have, however loosely canon, a confirmation of her finding some sort of joy and fulfillment in casting off the dreges of a feminine title and luxuriating in the fantasy of masculinity.
